Why so many corps? Hardly 25k people play everyday. Weekends its at 40k but still so many corps. People dont need to make new one idk why they bother. Granted not everyone plays at the same time but there needs to be a bit more community and bring everyone closer.
Dont need 16 random blueberries fighting against 2 or 3 organized corp squads. start seeing full corps on both sides in pub matches. Make corps more active right? I think we should limit corps popping up and just have 10.

I think the general implication was more or less why are there so many corps, why no consolidation.

Its around 3k - 3500 logged in at one time at the peak on most days for Dust. While this does not add up to huge numbers it is still a fairly decent base. |

I didn't see the part where he asked you to be. Thank you. You didn't need to ask, it was implied. If I own a small yogurt shop, and it's relativelysuccessful, and go around asking "hurka durka why are all these other yogurt shops around." it is assumed that I'm saying that people should just come to my yogurt shop.
Part of the reasons why there are so many corps. is that people don't want to be in the same corp. as certain people who are too ignorant to understand what implications their words might suggest.

So what long as you can cycle through the few corps. Its irrelavant and not needed to have over 100 corps with only 1 to 5 people in each.

Unless they stand for something.
Friend of mine used to be in the ILF (Intaki Liberation Front) which has a purpose,a goal, and ties to EVE side events.
You are in Molon Labe...... don't know what specifically your corp actually does.....all I know is that I doubt he'd join your corp or another corp like you because no other kind of corporation does what he wants to do.

How does a one man corp defeat team game play? People don't have to be in the same corp to work together; Hell, most of the squads I play in have 3-4 different corps represented in them.

See there in lies a problem with the game. Noone likes a corp so they all make new ones while the big corps stomp smaller ones and people b!tch about getting one sided matches. Well if thats how yall want it then quit ur b!tching and moaning when ur on the loosing side of a random unorganized corps team.

Dear OP:
Corps serve two purposes: PC organization, and letting friends get closer.
What you ask for is both selfish, rude, and idiotic. A channel does everything a corp does minus corp wide mail - so how is it 'not team work' to be in a channel, join a squad, and play?
Literally, nothing changes. Tags = irrelevant.

Not even, you corp would be torn down, and the players with the best KDR would be taken into the large PC corps. The others would be forced to join the other large corps with a 25% tax rate, or run solo.

Then get rid of tax. If thats whats holding you back. If a corp wants to do a pc then players can pay a fee to get in. The fee would not exceed a certain amount and would be kept low. Like 100k Idk. No tax or a very low tax not to exceed 15%. Idk its hard to get people to get brainstorming on pub stompers so its not one sided.

Dont need 16 random blueberries fighting against 2 or 3 organized corp squads. start seeing full corps on both sides in pub matches. Make corps more active right? I think we should limit corps popping up and just have 10. Let me answer your question with another question? Why the **** would I ever want to be in your corp? Dont need to join mine we just need less corps Corps grow big and die, it's a sad fact. If you really want less corps than you may have a problem. The bigger the dog the faster they die. Idk its hard to get people to get brainstorming on pub stompers so its not one sided.
You really want more corps in PC?
Start having your corp give up some of it's districts. Start pushing for the other large corps to give up some districts. Follow the never take a corps last district rule ( which Molon Labe already does, props to you guys) Attack the PC corps that make it their goal to try and take a corps last district
Really, the only way that we will get new corps into PC is by breaking up the empires of the large names, and start issuing out districts. As far as we can tell, CCP won't change anything about PC so it's up to us. It won't be PC anymore if you do this though. It would just be scheduled, high risk pub matches between corps. |

New corps have all the breathing room they need and still don't get in. The issue now is the game just plain sucks and is not worth that investment. The new PC update coming will make or break PC. If it sucks - PC will be quite literally dead as the last 10 corps in PC will be down to 5.

Yea, it's bad, but the people not in it don't see that. From the outside, PC still looks like this big thing. Some people may just need a "Hey, want to get into PC? We'll give you a district." and then maybe they'll decide to join. Who knows though.

Agreed.
There needs to be an expansion. Something too large for any one alliance to hold. Borders would develop, and there'd be corps over extending and losing to corps they'd never lose due to player coverage.

See you have bought into the forum propaganda that spreads.
The Problem with PC isn't players playing the game that they have been given... It's CCP.
History.. Before PC came out back in Open Beta. The Illustrious "Chromosome" patch everyone recalls of so fondly.. There was a very active mechanic in operation called "Corporation Battles". DUST at this point only allowed 8vs8 in corporation battles.
The Reward? 0isk 0 SP *\o/* .. It was practice that was on going since closed beta.. We where practicing for PC.. And all the glory that CCP promised us.
This is the old guard of DUST. The people who went into PC day 1, and then adapted for a year of playing PC.. Hoping it would get better. People started quitting around this time as CCP's Executive producer quit and the staff wasn't talking to anyone.
We got dropped the bomb that is aim assist and Scotty the matchmaker... Lost a good 1/3 of the the PC crowd there... Competitive shooter with aim assist forced on you really ruins the point.
Then we had a resurgence with CCP Rouge getting hired and the new big patches coming out.
Then? CCP Rouge pretty much said they are shutting major development down for DUST. PC Corps big and small packed up everywhere.. PC has been an empty shell since.
-How does this play into New corps not coming up into PC?
Where in DUST does it teach you how to run tactics, Pick team mates for class role and squad... Have 16 active Mic's and people communicating, Possibly more with EVE support. working together, following orders... etc... etc.. etc..
Where is the step up that even helps them learn how to get there?
CCP has installed a 400 foot wall of learning curve for up and coming corporations to even aspire to PC.... They would have to enlist old guard PC members to even be able to stand a chance of holding letters.
This isn't about players having to hand a fresh to PC corporation a district and baby them...
It's about CCP Understanding Pub's don't teach team work and how to apply DUST skills to a PC 'like' environment in anyway. |

Adding districts is a terrible idea. It will just lead to more farming because there are not enough corps willing to throw away 100 million on a district that will instantly be at risk because of their smaller size.
Timers are an absolutely horrible mechanic and the single largest reason why I do not bother with PC.Everyone uses the rationale of well you have good fights but the simple fact is one good fight is not worth me rescheduling my day to be on Dust at one specific time for a fight.

If the consolidated corps have so much as one person I don't want to be associated with in each one then what am I going to do? I'll tell you, I'm going to make a new corp. Well if thats how yall want it then quit ur b!tching and moaning when ur on the loosing side of a random unorganized corps team. some big corps get stomped themselves and are disorganised so whats your point and who cares what happens in pub matchs.

I Will never understand the problem with timers.
YOU GET TO SET THE TIME.
You have a group of friends or people with mutual interests in your group. You all play together a hobby you enjoy.
You all agree to play said hobby at a given time and enjoy a competitive event in that hobby that can yield you rewards that would make your time more enjoyable.
You have a couple alt's and extra people you warn in case some people have life issues... and Wolla?
No different then a weekly game of basketball with the boys. the weekly Poker game with some friends? Your nightly TV show that you watch.
Except it's a video game hobby that you are passionate about that you are playing with a group of friends and corporation members. Where you have arranged a time to meet at.
If Your looking to hold Land in a competitive PVP environment and go for a week cruise and still have it when you come back?
Please.
This is why PC corporations recruit large numbers of people and ally themselves with people from all different time zones. To Fill rosters when holding more land then you should. |

Because relying on CCP to fix every issue is ridiculous. Do you really want clone packs to start being sold for AUR? Regardless of what it used to be, or how much of a shell PC is now, it's an empty shell we can fill with the corps we have now.
Simply communication between corps is all that is needed. Just ask, "Do you and your corp want to get into PC matches?" That's it. Once they're in, they'll learn through battles, but as long as they don't lose their district, they can still fight in PC.
Sure, the game was way different back in the day, it had so much potential, all the good players left, and every other rant I hear every time someone bring up the past. It has changed, and a good portion of it was bad, I get that. Why are you being the naysayer for us altering it from the playerside to have more fun? I still enjoy this game, so if there's a way to make it even better by simply talking to other people, why wouldn't I?
**** what the game used to be, this is what it is now. If you really have an issue with it, you miss the glory days, you miss the good corps, and you hate everything about it now, Destiny is That way ----> |

Your hearts in the right place... but you sound like ******?! I get what you are saying, but to solve the problem you are referring to the community as a whole, corps and individuals alike, need to be alot less childish about things. Most of the wars that have taken place in dust causing divides and such have been over silly *ss mail, trolling, and some serious butt-hurt.
If you're tanking against another tank, and it's going down like China town. Your hardener is burnt out, and so is his. You're both overheated! You're in a real pickle, and out of nowhere BOOM! Ishukone assault forge sends him to the scrap heap! Most mercs, about 96%, get mad and swear someone stole their measly kill that they probably weren't going to get judging the situation from the forge perch. Me, I send the man, woman, or child a big THANKS o7!
My point is just because a guy railed me senseless in a PC. It doesn't give me the right to bad mouth him, hate on him, trI'll him with butt-hurt mail, etc. You win some, and you lose some. What remains after the madness is reputation.
Most corps' members are so afraid of doing something that might upset some power hungry director or ceo that they never squad outside of cor lol! I have so many skill points and roles that I could care less if anyone got mad. I've squaded with numerous mercs ffrom different corps including yours! On the battlefield red is dead, but in the chats everyone is ok to me. I don't hold grudges on dudes for doing what they were supposed to do when I'm wrecking shop in a heavy on bravo.
F*c king remote me! It's what I would do!
You must remember that each individual merc has the right to fight there way! If I'm a sniper with my own corp and tax that's my parogative. The "join us or die. Resistance is futile" bit usually ends badly for the guy with the biggest stick historically. o7

If you really have an issue with it, you miss the glory days, you miss the good corps, and you hate everything about it now, Destiny is That way ---->

Otherwise you'll find a lot of games nearly empty.
Sadly, until CCP does something to build interest in PC nothing on our side can be done to fix it.
Which brings us to a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. This game's growth is stunted because newberries are getting their asses handed to them by the rest of us match after match; and the one's they're lucky enough not to be on the receiving end, they're still left feeling like dead weight because they can't keep up with us.
Neither option is pretty but one certainly isn't as ugly as the other.

Let me answer your question with another question? Why the **** would I ever want to be in your corp? Dont need to join mine we just need less corps
Bullsh**! We need more corps in this game with more people! Enough with the blue donut and the limited amount of corps everyone keeps hopping over to when that certain corp becomes the new FOTM! If this isn't a troll thread then you're truly ********.

I think your missing my point. im just saying smaller corps need to move to bigger corps so there can be more interaction between players. I think itll help corps to build up so you can fight corp vs corp not corp vs 10 random corps.
Isn't that why we have Alliances?
Because, that's why.

Well I created my corp for the name and the 0.0% tax rate. It doesn't really matter what I do with my corp or what corp I'm in if I'm not interested in PC. Same goes for a lot of players. For squads? Because we can't just join channels and squad up with whoever we please?
Corps are fairly Cosmetic with the exception of PC. Which means for many of us who do not PC... it's cosmetic... and a tax shelter, because **** your tax farming. |

Im guessing most corps tax cuz they need isk for clones. If the corp is making isk off the districts then tax shouldnt be applied. Stompers in pubs need to face other stompers not the stomped. This is harder than it seems cuz people have issues with corps about everything. Tax, people, bad teamwork, whatever. Maybe get rid or corps all together or have so many so you complain about getting stomped when a big corp rolls a pub 74 to 0 like in ambush. Game needs population first before you try to separate people. Otherwise you'll find a lot of games nearly empty. Sadly, until CCP does something to build interest in PC nothing on our side can be done to fix it. Agreed. There needs to be an expansion. Something too large for any one alliance to hold. Borders would develop, and there'd be corps over extending and losing to corps they'd never lose to due to player coverage. We could just do away with timers.
I have no idea how it works now or if it's still a thing but because players could have other players mock battle their districts to prevent them from being attacked aka district locking? Because timer's are easily abusable and the definition of casual. PC is casual or hardcore competitive... pick one. When I heard of PC I thought it would be no holds barred mega corps duking it out. The fact that you would need enough players to defend your districts at any given time would make it necessary to have many players involved as an ongoing war among the player base. Instead its dominated by a few people because its designed to be "Within your time schedule." |
