I have a ADV Amarr Commando. I'm skilled into everything Amarr as of the moment, with the Laser and ScR at 3 Proficiency. I currently have a Laser Rifle and ScR on it. My Question is how do I fit my Low slots on it ? and for my Highs, would a dmg mod be necessary ? |

Dmg mods are great, but with both of thode weapons I'm assuming you're at range so you don't really need them. I would give myself some shield and shield regen to work with. As for the lows I would use repairs. Just me. |

A damage mod on the high is great for the scr, especially charged shots, but not so great for the laser rifle. I often fit a shield energiser and two complex reps for a really solid regen rate, but a complex cardiac regulator is also surprisingly good for making up for its inherent lack of speed. If you really want to go off -piste try a myrofibal in the high to make your base melee damage truly punch-tacular.

Even though u are already damaging with your laser weapons a damage mod is essential It will give u a bonus vs shields and armour like your commando bonus Shield mods just aren't goin to give u much
As for your two lows two reps will help sustain you Plating will slow u down and in turn nerf your innate greater stamina being ammar If you feel lacking in hp take 1 plate 1 rep
Playing your range is key Use of scrambler and laser is a separate subject
Hope this helps

Thanks ! I think I know how to configure it. The commando role is a very tricky role. It's neither Assault nor Heavy. It's in-between. |

Pretty much this^ I'm currently running laser rifle and assault scram; the latter is decent enough at chewing through heavies thanks to its massive magazine. The laser rifle will burn away everything else. Do not use non-Amarr weapons. It's deeply heretical.

It's pretty much a sqd support role like a logi but u help the sqd by putting loads of dmg on things

Common commando mistake is tank and positioning. High regen is possible on all of them. They also have the dps and reload bonus so damage mods, while fun, aren't needed. With the gal and amarr however you only have the one high so it's whatever the users preference is.
As far as how to fight with it you, being amarr, need to fight from range. If you have an AV weapon like a swarm or plasma cannon you could rack up on war points on dual role. Remember it's not a heavy! It's a fire support platform! I see guys in commandos with rep tools on their backs trying to take on heavies getting mowed all the time lol! It's a fail of epic proportion.
Commandos are great for pilots as they have a equipment slot and dual light weapons. You can fly to any perch with the Laser swarm combo and ammo to boot!
It's a really creative fit, but don't get dragged into any barn burners. You usually end up too slow to escape like the assaults and scouts, and too low on ehp to finish the fight on top. o7

My preference for my A/1-Series Commando:
Complex damage mod 2 Complex reps CRW-04 ScR BK-42 ACR
ScR to kill shield, ACR to kill armor.
My Paladin will hurt you. Very badly.

If you are going for pure amarrian goodness, you are going to want reps in the lows and damage in the highs. Also trade in that ScR for an AScR. LR's got you covered for range, the AScR will give you some cqc capabilities without having to worry about overheating too much as well as freeing up some PG/CPU.

I have a couple different Calmando fits with some combination of Rail, Combat, and Sniper Rifle (Tac, Charge, NT-511, Ishukone).
I have 2 complex damage mods on most of them and at least 1 complex on ALL of them.
For a good time Middas, one of my favorite fits is Rail rifle/combat rifle. You can chew them up at distance and when they close the gap, swap to the CR and destroy them up close. This is a great fit in open maps where there aren't a lot of solid vantage points/sniper lanes.
