Please give all assault suits an additional equipment slot
lacking this has always been annoying but because of the game changing bandwidth feature we should finally get two slots
I also think all logi's except Amar should have four slots - maybe even five at Proto

I'm probably going to get a lot of flak for this, but I think that this is a borderline-interesting idea.
What I mean to say is this: currently, Assault suits are in a pretty good spot. Logis are ass (and have been for probably around a year and at least 4 different client updates)... but so too are the basic medframes.
So, I would instead argue that basic medframes get a second equipment slot, and a very slight buff to their CPU/PG, to allow them to fill that second equipment slot, but not without making sacrifices elsewhere.
At which point the Assault becomes a sidegrade rather than a straight upgrade over the basic medframe, much the same way that Logis are (supposed to be).
Alternately, we do away with basic frames entirely, and instead implement an EVE-style system with the current suits as a basic "semi-specialized" variant, and additional specializations. This, incidentally, could be a good way provide diversification to the Logi role, and even the Assault role- you could have a slower dual light weapon Assault, as well as a fast-moving grenadier Assault.
Finally, the only obstacle I can really see to Assaults having two equipment slots is that this will marginalize Logis unless there is a wider variety of equipment items that are perceived as highly desirable and valuable for squad operations. Right now... not so much. Sure, a GalLogi for better scans and an AmLogi for fast spawns is good... but the former is situationally useful and the latter can actually be thrown in a vehicle as the pilot and provide all the useful benefits (IE, fast spawns) as well as be a vehicle pilot.
Obviously the MinLogi is good if you're busy shoving a reptool up a heavy's ass-end, and that's a big part of the prevailing strategy for PC these days, but I'd say it's the sort of thing that's only situationally useful, like the GalLogi bonus.
And the poor CalLogi is left in the cold wondering just what exactly is he useful for.
So, yeah. The only real issue with this idea is that there's not enough different, very useful equipment options for a Logi (and the ensuing Logi bonuses) to be judged worth more than the combined durability, mobility, and firepower of an Assault.
But I would totally love this for, say, a PLC or LR fit AmSalt. But again, equipment selection needs to be heavily diversified with some very different gizmos for it to really work out.

If anything, the basic medium frames should get an extra equipment slot.
1.) To give a much needed buff to them, which helps the NPE a lot. Remember, these are the FIRST suits a newbro will ever use.
2.) So that newbro prospective logis have a suit to use until they upgrade to actual logis.
3.) So that assaults sacrifice something to get all their boons. Logis sacrifice a sidearm and base stats, so assaults should give up something. Right now, Assaults are a pure upgrade to basic suits, and this would change that.

i like this adjustment to the idea. many of the newbros will be coming off of games that focus on the worthless KDR so giving them an extra slot on the basic would help the intro into support tactics

Until cal logistics gets 3 at basic it's an unfair trade.
Base stats and a weapon for 2 equipment,when basics get 2 without sacrifice?
As to the OP,Gäû to you too,assaults aren't equipment specialists.
And this would make 1/2 of the logistics class less desire-able for equipment than assaults.
Assaults would become tankier logis,almost negating the need for them.

If you want to run more than one equipment, run a Logi, that's their role.
Too many suits are multipurpose as it is, the last thing we need is more of them.

I was basing my idea on the fact that scouts have two slots. I like running assault but with scouts having two slots and slightly better everything else it is not always an attractive option.
Perhaps taking away the scouts second slot and adding an option in the fitting menu to activate a cloak
- so every scout is cloak ready but people like me won't be able to abuse the second slot if they don't use it. |

The reason it was removed in the first place was because the assault was doing the logi roll far too well, with the extra slot also comes extra fitting space for brick tanking tryhards.

Let me put it this way. People are always violently adamant that there should be no "Slayer Logis" performing the Assault role, so why should there be "Support Assaults" performing the Support role?
