Though there is a difference between the Federation and the Amarr Empire. Liberty is a basic concept that can be derived from nothing more than the natural human mind. So is religion, but in the natural world one does not always yet the same religion. That is the difference.
Neither does one always determined the same cultural value on the concept of freedom, or that it has the same meaning. One might determine it is something you are born with or entitled to, another might determine it as something you earn.

Amarr references the Island from which we drew our cultural identity and is but a name. We are all God's children be we of True Amarr birth or not.
We are an Empire of peoples from many bloodlines, planets, systems united by one Faith and one benevolent ruler.
