My Inertial Dampeners have been activating on their own!
This is the most annoying glitch I have encountered in a long time!
It makes it impossible to stealthily drop into an area from a raised Uplink. It is also completely disoriented.
Fix it! Fix it NOW!!!
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

rattati actually posted that they intended this. I think he said something about removing it or changing it
You can't fight in here! This is the war room.

I share your frustration, it is problematic. I prefer to stealth drop in and have control over my fall.

It seems to be activating based on speed. I've only had it happen when dropping from a fast moving Dropship.

I have had it happen when jumping out of the MCC and when jumping off of tall buildings.

I want to activate my Inertial Dampener 1m from the ground. Not 10m!!!
With this change, if you put a Drop Uplink on the tower in the middle of Ashland you are actually hurting your team. Team members jumping down canGÇÖt control their decent properly so they land in the middle of open areas, and the enemy hear you coming for the last 10 m so they are ready and have you lined up for a kill shot before you even stand up.

It makes me feel less guilty about my anger. Yes the Rail Rifle thing, where it took half a life time after pulling the trigger before the gun did anything. Yeah, Rattati came to his senses and fixed that fairly quickly.
This Inertial Dampener thing literally effects every player in the game though, and I did not see it announced anywhere. Hopefully others feel the same and we can get this changed quickly.
I donGÇÖt see this as a new player experience issue. Not activating Inertial Dampeners teaches a lesson better than any other tutorial in the game.

Can someone post a link to where it says this was intended? I have been looking all day and have found nothing.

IMO, if Rattati is worried about the new players we should simply make it an option (perhaps titled "Automatic Inertia Dampening") and set it to "ON" to start.
That way the noobs aren't turned into a pancake their first jump out of the MCC, and more advanced players can set it how they please. |

or just set it to 1m above the ground.... which is fairly much where everyone tries to hit it anyways.

Or have it in the settings with the default being ON, just like the tags.
I hate landing in the middle of a firefight, even though I would've only lost my shields if I hadn't activated my dampeners. |
