You gotta get the BDR Triage adv tool which I think requires Nanocircuitry level 4 before people take you seriously. This shouldn't take long to get though. On the bright side, the skill both unlocks nanite injectors and rep tools so there's that. Do us all a favor though and only pull out the rep tool when you have a target to repair/is getting hit. We don't need anymore logis following heavies around repping them when they aren't even in danger, that's what makes players dislike med logis and ignore protecting them. Take it from another med logi, if you actually try to rep your team they will appreciate it and have your back more. |

At std level min suits a bdr triage tool, nanohives, and a standard nanite injector. I forget how many slots the std has but i'd make sure you get at least an armor plate and armor rep and any extra slots slap on reactive plates. If you can always fit militia variants with all but a shield recharger as they function the same. On the highs i'd just stack militia/basic shield extenders. Fit a militia variant of whatever light weapon you have skilled into as for the most part a std level min medic is probably going to die anyways, that's why you fit what militia you can as to drive down the cost. Militia flux/regular flux if you can fit them.
At adv level you get a little more leeway. I'd fit one adv shield energizer and the rest adv or basic extenders depending on your CPU/PG space. On the lows i'd fit an enhanced plate, enhanced rep, and an enhanced/basic regulator. I'd fit a standard level weapon as your light weapon and either flux grenades or locus grenades depending on the light weapon, shield profiled = locus and armor profiled = flux. As far as equipment, I'd fit a bdr triage tool, k nanohives (R), and an adv nanite injector. If you need fitting space you can use basic extenders or basic flux/locus grenades.
At proto level you probably won't reach for a while and to be honest by then you should have an idea on what works with your playstyle.
As to how to run the logi I'm suggesting:
1. Stay with groups of blues. 2. Provide fire support, but don't poke your head out for long as these suits are better suited for short intervals of fighting. 3. Don't rep someone that isn't hurt. 4. Don't revive players who you can see are in the line of fire, they will just die again and likely you will too. 5. If you see a heavy poking around a corner you can "guardian" repair them but unless you can see that they are under heavy fire don't bother and instead provide fire support. 6. Drop your nanohives in places that are easily accessible to teammates while having plenty of cover.
I hope all of this helps and good luck out there. |

Those scouts that have more shielding than you also only come with 87 armor base. Stack those plates and extenders, you should be able to get at least a 1000+ HP without too much difficulty.

Hi I run heavies most of the time, Amarr, with my lowest suit being a 850 Hp armor monster if you ever looking for a game to rep me I always love a good Logi bro. Send me a email some time and I would be happy to run with you.
Heavy's are the the moving walls of one man that force everything else into retreat. Show some love for Logi Bros.

anyone who says a logi is meant to run as a squad as an answer to everything is a fool.
there is no doubt they are strongest with a squad but just like any other class in the game they should not be restricted to playing in squads only. scouts are meant to scout and avoid contact with the enemy unless a target presents itself yet 99% of them are tanked for assault. the same goes for heavies. the role is broader than team only work so using that as an excuse to keep logis weak is stupid. i use my nimble apex suit to run supplies to players then i run away again. i have a 960 ehp full proto equipment logi for confined space support for friendlies. both of those roles are distinctly different and require different stats in order to keep them effective.
not that im saying they are currently in a weak place. they have never been better but more can be done

As for finding folks to play with, try jumping into FW and looking for squads with open slots in them and just jump in and strike up a conversation while providing them with support in game. People love logis who are pro-active. Chances are they'll at least invite you to their FW or open corp chat for future squads.
If you don't have a mic, get one, seriously, they're invaluably useful. Go down to Wal-mart or wherever and drop 15-20 bucks and start communicating with the team.

If they get e/hp buffs then slayer logis will become the FOTM again especially Amarr logis which don't even lose a sidearm. Everything you just described are support roles not slayer and that's what logis should be.
+1 for knowing how to play a logi -1 for thinking a logi should be an assault.
Edit: I don't believe logis have to run with squads. But in the OP's case, a med logi can only really run solo on Dom or ambush if he's desperate as that's where everyone dogpiles. FW and Skirm aren't good places for a med logi where he is likely to end up alone most of the time with no one to use as a force multiplier. |
