you do not have to open them. simple as that.
i dont even do the missions that reward them. it does not affect me at all having extra boxes in my inventory aside from that stupid indicator and aside from the odd key i may come across i wont be opening anymore boxes.
these are bonus items you can chose to open or not. no one is forcing you. just put them in the back of your mind and move on

I am absolutely certain that strong boxes will drive away new players by tricking them out of money.
They should be replaced by something that would actually attract new players. |

My experience with f2p games is that when something like the strongboxes gets put in, the games got 3 to 6 months before something catastrophic happens that makes me and many others leave.

Key and strongboxes need to be swapped.
