For me, Dust 514 was a really big game changer to the fps world for more than one reason. First it was 2 games in one secondly it brought real meaning into a fps. What I mean by that is, other shooters feel like shoot em up bang bang, the only reason I'm here is to see how many kills I can get/ I got more kills than you. Dust didn't feel that way, it felt like I actually had a role playing as logistics, and when playing solo even. I felt as though kills did count but overall warpoints mattered more because I had to re supply my own inventory. Other games you automatically get access to the best weapons after getting enough kills. You have to actually think in this game by trying out new equipment saving money and things like that. As of 1.10 it still shows that a lot of people really don't get the concept of a fully matured fps. As I played the first couple of games i still noticed infantry running past cru's and supply depot's, I noticed infantry not taking advantage of the war barge flux minor. Really important stuff if we were in a real battle. I know people are on here to have fun but come on Dust 514 is like the private resort of first person shooters have some class.
Simply put if you don't understand how to put a decent dropsuit together, your gonna get stomped in this game. If you don't understand that using bpo's saves money, then you're gonna be broke in this game, if you don't understand that taking factional contracts over pub contracts earn loyalty points that can get you access to free bpo's then your lost! We should'nt be worrying about getting proto stomped in factional battle we should be worried about how they got access to that kick ass gear! I'm not the best player by far and getting to 2,500 war points alone is still a great challenge for me but I do know how to escape from a skirmish ambush, and how to make a dropsuits shields feel like a fuckin threat to you.
Ideas for legion. I saw the salvage post I wasnt impressed. We already fight for isk to improve our equipment inventory. I was thinking more along the lines of ridiculously huge maps in order to add water and air space for whole navies and pilots giving new roles and meaning as to why people play Dust and Legion over any other fps! I don't care what anyone says about Dust but if you ask any real life soldier or veteran they will tell you it is the only fps that actually reminds them of real life tactics we can change ratings of this game by changing the style of play . Every fps has capture the flag or objective, ambush or shoot me up bang bang for the less civilized, and some form of destroy. No one has planetary conquest. Or something that could be incorporated into Legion gathering Intel using usb sticks , and loding viruses onto enemy systems yo bring them down! Something to think about, I'm just sayin.., lmao at my ranting!!!
