Not going to repeat everything I said in the Armor vs Shield debate. All I can tell you is that I don't put any armor plates on my Minmatar Assault and I have no problems shield tanking at all.

Too many people run shields wrong. They think they can sit there and tank people. I run mine at 1.6 delay 71 recharge

I run my Calassault at 53hp/s 2s delay and 8.3m/s with 800 (596-194) ehp. I do well with it and I do realize it has its pros running it, but the problem comes to assault vs assault which feels just too much unbalanced: I can't just spray n pray as the reddot can do, I have to put effort on it along with using nades in the best way I could. Note though this doesn't include gal assaults, I kill them far easier than how I kill a minmatar or amarr assault. btw I've yet to get put in the conglomerate, is there something that doesn't allow me to join? 10100111001 Shield tanking is hard mode /period. 10100111001
