At the rate these strong boxes are dropping, I'd gladly open them if decryptor keys were priced 100 AUR each.
800 AUR is robbery for a mystery prize.

100 is way to cheap, they give a good deal for 10 which goes down to 600 each! Maybe 20 and goes to 500 each would be nice :D

British not American! Haha but honestly I have opened all my boxes and I can happily say 80% of my drops cost over 800 aurum, I'd say it's a good deal plus you get them in daily challenges

If you do not get items worth what you are paying for in average, the system is broken.
Hard to tell though, since officer suits are not sold for AUR.

I'm not going to spend $90 USD per month opening strongboxes. These things are accumulating quickly. Either slow the drop rate and give me some other useful salvage or lower the price of decryptor keys.

There will be a 30%/50% discount week/month on these Keys.
I have foreseen this.
They are cashing in on the novelty of them, which makes sense, the devs don't run on forum-tears. What is beyond me is that they did not include one in the newsletter...

You're not forced to buy the keys I agree, however my useful items salvage has been replace with expensive strongboxes, so I am simply requesting that CCP lower the price of strong boxes so that I will be more inclined to open them. May I have your permission to make that request?

At 800 a key I'm opening none. At 100 a key IL open 10-20 a day. CCP so stupid.
Mercs are willing to give you money. It boggles my mind. It's like not a good deal anyway you price a key. It's all a scam. But at 100 aur. That scams a good deal |

I trade ISK both ways. I've sold a few rare EVE and Valkyrie codes that I had no use for.
Jack the Rlpper wrote:Edit: Also random question what suit or suits do you use and weapons?
I use any and all gear.
My favorite suits are the amarr scout (before ewar changed) and the minmatar assault ('Nomad' is sweet), but I use all suits for fun and I will regularly use at least 5 different fittings in a match.
My favorite weapons are the CR, SMG and fluxes but I use all weapons for fun at various times as well. I like remotes (as traps not frisbees) but they are somewhat unreliable.
Here's my favorite homegrown fitting:
Hunter 'Quafe' Scout A-1 Militia Combat Rifle Blueprint 'Toxin' ICD-9 Submachine Gun Militia Flux Grenade Blueprint Militia Repair Tool Blueprint Militia Nanohive Blueprint Militia Shield Extender Blueprint Militia Profile Dampener Blueprint Militia Armor Plates Blueprint Militia Armor Repairer Blueprint
If they ever come out with BPO REs, I'll swap them out for the repair tool, but until then, I'll enjoy healing my team mates and damaged vehicles.

No, I don't, but concerning the Nomad, I got so burnt out on FW that I eventually paid the extorted 58,000 AUR price.
To clarify, the suit was not worth 58,000 AUR to me. Not playing FW was worth 58,000 AUR to me.

120 aur.
Same AUR cost as a prototype dropsuit.
If you get 15 STD neo dropsuits that you do not want you will get 11, 250 ish ISK at most.
If the keys are going to cost the same as seven aur prototype dropsuits then the minimum value of the contained salvage should be the equivalent of seven prototype dropsuits.
I popped a box. Got 13 neo STD logis from the box.
Combined AUR value: 650.
You're better off buying aurum fits directly unless the minimum salvage value is set to 800 AUR.

In my opinion, I don't think the decrypter keys are worth buying. Because like what you stated, they are too much AUR. There ain't no way I am buying a PSN card to get a 800 AURUM key to have something in my fitting that I might not want, and won't be able to use because of the lack of skills. I like the new approach CCP is making with DUST, BUT I think it is a flawed execution.

They still could do that , it's not too late or just give players 10 keys and I say 10 because most of us have a nice amount of boxes by now but instead of the newsletter ( which was spot on by you Wilhelm ) they could use the daily log in , seeing as how a lot of people don't even get the newsletters , you still find people here asking about it ... but the log in is something that we all have to do .
Spot on Wilhelm , this is something that you should consider doing CCP .
