There has been a good number lately enough that HF Echo is going to bring yet another nerf to the HMG. But dat heavy laser can't come quick enough....

It IS the HMG that is making the Heavy (considered) OP. Myself, I think the range should be reduced on it.
honestly I'm more inclined to reduce it's damage but increase its range but this can only happen once the heavy laser and plasma is introduced that way they can be balanced off each other.

I just KNOW you aren't talking about scouts right... right...? Oh, I guess you were... the only skill required for scouts was waiting for the arrow to look away from you before you SGed or KNed it in the back.

You misunderstand. I've been here since closed beta and I've seen how the buff/nerf cycle goes and I fully expect that by the next 2 hot fixes the HMG will be back to the Uprising 1.0-1.6 days when all it took was a starter fit with a militia SMG to murder a proto heavy with a proto HMG. I guess this is my attempt to help ensure that CCP doesn't over nerf or if they do I will use this thread to justify why I am using a fine rifle as opposed to a gimped as **** HMG

And being able to aim while moving at high speeds.
What aiming? SG requires next to no aiming KN and RE even less so
And having to rely on speed to survive in general.
you dont need speed when you know where everything is and nothing can see you
And not using crutchy fine rifles/HMG's.
if there was another AI heavy weapon in the game I wouldn't touch the HMG with a Titan long stick
Aside from the virtue of patience that was required, the above are all skills.
Not using a weapon is not a skill it is a choice...
It takes more skill than anything else in the game, other than maybe a slayer logi, and Ive played literally everything.
Id beg to differ but that is food for another thread

The HMG and probably the other racial heavy weapons will be pretty weak pretty soon. The funny thing is -- heavies were like unicorns back in the day. You saw one once every few matches. Super rare. And only when they were running with a dedicated logi. You never saw a roaming heavy. And never in ambush (although you still don't see that many in Ambush) Then they HMG got a buff and heavies started getting spammed. But that buff was MORE dispersion on the HMG. It still makes me lol when I think about it.
I despise the HMG... I remember when the only suit the Amarr had was the sentinel. Why CCP decided that the first Heavy should be Amarr made while the first heavy weapons should be Minmatar and Caldari made haunt me to this day. However... even though I personally detest the HMG I will make damn sure that they stay viable until we have a choice in what weapon we want to use

exactly... however sarcastic that may(or may not just woke up) be. but the kicker is heavies supported castrating their CPU/PG in favor of heavy weapon fitting efficiency. but now the mob(GD{mostly scouts}) is crying for for more nerfs. At this rate heavy weapons WILL be nerfed to weaker then their light counter parts and we WILL see light weapon sentinels return with a vengeance.
