Using a Charge Sniper Rifle for a couple days in a row.. this is what happens..
- you hear the high pitched sound of a charge sniper rifle for days and become delirious
- your right index finger gets cramped to hell.. because you're constantly holding down R1 (to keep your weapon charged)
It's not like anyone seriously snipes anymore anyways.. request for 600m reinstated.

Winners were supposed to have their names placed in the item descriptions for the contest officer weapons..
This never happened. (so for people like me with "too many syllables in your name" our mark would be left in the item description)
Logically it does make sense if a weapon is named after you, to have it on you at all times.

The item wasn't named after you because you designed it or created it through in-game lore - you won a contest. That doesn't give you the right to BPO officer or even BPO Proto. And Alex - if you want to see your name more often on the kill feed you could try using it yourself and not lose them? 
I think exactly just that did occur.
The respective most competitive users of their weapons went beast mode on the entire server for days on end.
I pushed for a charge variant with 5 in the clip. (it could have been a reskinned Balac's or Thale's with different mechanics)
Look what happened. /shrug. I think they were kind enough to listen to some of the input the winners had.
Most if not all winners named the officer variant after themselves anyway. (seems fitting)

How many of us even play regularly?
(that's what I'm saying)
Sniping mechanics (extreme headshot damage) + (crappy range)
still dissuades me from logging on.

Three days straight of barely any sleep and paranoia. I even had to put dragonball z episodes in the night because of so much sensory deprivation. My thumb still is healing i wanna post pictures of it but that would be weird.
I think getting an officer BPO is fair after what we went trough. The side arm event was way easier for once it was only 17 days (militia lol) and you only had to play one day. The expert challenge was 25 days added to the fact that we had to play for three days straight to stack more kills.
I donated within the top 10 players for the TIII Amarr Tactical Destroyer..... do you see me getting a Confessor BPO? Nope......
donated? we're not talking about buying the rights from CCP to an in game item here.

CCP never updated the item descriptions like they said they would.
(thankfully I didn't name the sniper NOT after myself)
because there would have otherwise been no "mark on new eden" left by me and known to others.
Officer / BPO's have NO ISK VALUE.
Since a player trading economy doesn't exist within Dust 514.
I see no issue with rewarding the winners in this way.
