i ditched the caldari lavs about a year ago for gal. they are much more stable offroad and have a way better mortality rate than caldari. caldari is faster but it's stability is total trash, it's always trying to do a nose wheely and feels like it has no weight to it. armor repping is a hit and run lav tho it's not made to sit there and tank it out it's made for getting away and repping before going back into the fray. i suppose there are some decent hardener fits for it but i prefer a decent rep rate over hardeners. also if you fit a cru or scanner on your caldari it messes with your tanking, gal does not depend on shielding at all so it's highslot is free for whatever.

Ask for it in Quafe and it will be done. Devs seem to like bubbly drinks.

Went back into my loved LAV, however I can't seem to make her work well for me.

Any advice on how to run a sheild LAV, currently I've been killed from the seat and had it blown up before the drunk drone pilot dropped it. (Wy would you drop it up there! No left left! Not on the building damn it!)

I'm currently using ADV light shield/boost, ADV railgun, and militia ammo in the low.

I just want to drive around in my LAV with a squad member shooting things from the back, is that so bad?

Use a Saga II. The hardener gets the old 60% resistance and doesn't cost any PG/CPU (does take a slot though). Large blasters (bar Ion Cannons I think) and swarms don't break its passive regen, so it can almost indefinitely tank them (until the hardener goes down or the pilot is killed).

I personally run a complex booster and Enh armor plate. The booster is nice for kick starting regen and the plate for some extra buffer, though I might start using an extender instead.

Unfourtionately, the animation of the hardener obstructs the gunners view, so it may be a bit difficult, but it's the only way to make a shield LAV work.

Your first mistake was to use a shield based LAV for anything else then quick transport and ditching it afterwards. Get yourself a methana and some dignity while you are at it.
