Obviously I'm thinking of the scrambler here, but all Officer Weapons should have a noticeably different effect than their common counterparts.
I asked for a different color beam when I was part of the Officer Scrambler feedback, but it wasn't on the table. Now that it is though...

I'm not going to start demanding extra features months after the contest. CCP let me name it, and I'm just thrilled that I got the chance.
That being said, I think there's a case to be made for differentiating higher classes of weapons, including the scrambler.
