This is more a threat to garner some feed back about the Surya and about armour tank balance, statistics, modules, fitting capacity, and also reaffirming the role of Armour HAV as stand and deliver tanks.

I feel that the slot count should be greater, with a passive bonus towards armor reps. Able to get Insane Reps on the tank, however, it is far slower and less maneuverable than the Madrugar. A literal "Stand and Deliver." You will be a monster with that Ion Cannon repping at 800 Hp a Second, but you will be sluggish to escape, and forget about it if hit with a Wyrkomi Breach and Swarms which everyone now has :)
Overall, I feel that the new tanks should be made on the assumption everyone can pull at least some form of adv AV now. When I hop in a squad and we see a tank, my whole squad switches to AV. All of them. That's 6 players with at least ADV AV (Plus Proficiency) not counting Blueberries, against one vehicle. These tanks should be monsterous to face in packs, but their slow mobility still makes them easy to hit with Rails and less starting HP means they are poppable by Missiles.
The fact they are already slower and less maneuverable than Madrugars and Somas will discourage the addition of plates. If the poor fools try to do such a thing, they will die horrifically.
I feel, in Gallente Fashion, 2H/ 5L is a good slot layout. 3L already equals around 400 reps a second. Add 2 more Complex/Enhanced for another 200 reps + The bonus of say 5% to Armor Repair Modules per level

Did I mention Passive Reps need to die in a fire?

It is. I think Pokey Dravon suggested 3% per level duration to armour repairers for the Gallente marauder which amounts to one more pulse of the module before deactivation.

When you think about it, given the sorry state of armor vs AV this tank might need the least balancing. Regardless of how you fit the tank, you will use at least one armor rep.
Armor movement penalties makes it tough to stack on plates, double hardened or even triple hardened armor tanks will still hardly get the resistance up to shield tank levels. Once it's harders are on cool down, boy is it a sitting duck.
Dirtiest fit that comes to mind is 3 complex reppers and 2 hardeners. Still going to be in a world of trouble vs AV once the hardeners are on cool down. That or 3 damage mods and a rail turret, but then it would be as deadly as the gunlogi we have now.
The surya is going to be the most versatile of any tank, thats for sure.

we need more shield effecting AV I think, anyway I've not done tanks in a while but with both a greater slot count and let's say 2% reps/resistance per level it could be a nasty force on the battlefield.
You guys don't want them to be weak, at the same time infantry think having them be too strong could cause problems of it's own, I'm personaly hoping the addition of higher tiers helps with AV vs HAV balence, so both parties are making an investment for thier role.
Gotta find that middle yes?
A few ideas:
2% ammo in barrel per level.
2% less heat buildup.
2% longer modual duration.
2% ROF.
2% less despersion.
Sorry for spelling jotting this down quick cause I need to go, but yeah just some ideas for bonuses.

1. Old modules and worthwhile skills and skill bonuses need to come back with the hulls
2. It basically need to come back as it was stats wise or buffed if needed due to the damage of AV |

It would unfortunately have to keep in line with infantry HP.
1200 shield 4000 armor more PG and CPU than the Madrugar 3 lo / 5 hi passive bonuses to the hull and damage output
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim
