I've heard people complaining about swapping suits, and then having to go wait in a corner to rep.
BUILD A REPPING SUIT.
Go to supply depot when low on health, swap to REP SUIT, rep to 100%, then swap to desired suit, and off you go.

That too. It seems that the supply depot changes encourages people to drop even more hives around supply depots.
So a rep suit should be armor rep and shield recharger tanked, and be able to drop triage hives.

Here is another solution: run with a logistic squad member who can drop armor rep hives or fits a repair tool.
Some well endowed individuals are nearly as effective as an autonomous unit as an entire squad. Remember when they raised the cost of orbitals and a few individuals complained because they could no longer achieve an orbital alone? Those were the guys who are bad asses.
Bad asses don't need other people. Letting them tag a long is a cordial gesture.

I'll clarify, since you took that single example literally.
Badasses. Men, women, boys and girls who figure out how to do things with such potency that they effectively achieve single handedly what it would take a group of other people to do.
Examples in dust would be: Taking down multiple targets who are tactically engaging one. Taking down titans; entities in the game designed to overpower an individual soldier. Taking down multiple titans simultaneously. Opening a doorway into the promised land for those too meek or shy to move forward. People who have mastered the fundamentals of mercenaryhood and have taken gameplay to the next level; supremacy.
So you see, I'm referring to people who beat the odds through intellect, bravery, and assorted other venerable virtues.

These are good ways to waste my valuable clones, soldier. Get off our battlefield. Squad, advance to where that "hero" died and hold the line.
Squad? You have no squad left. They are all waiting to spawn in complaining, "That one guy with the viziam scrambler rifle is OP".

Side note: my squad can also be composed of badasses, they just happen to enjoy warbarge strikes, 20% more WP, and comms more than your lone badass.
This is hypothetical. I don't claim to be a badass and never have. But in this scenario we are pitting six supposedly badass players vs. One equally as badass player. Same SP for all parties involved, all fitting proto.
That would be a cool play mode I like it!

Both team captains agree to a match and include any number of players up to 16 on their teams, without the overhead of running a pc. That way, you could do 1 vs 1 or 1 vs squad, or what have you. I wasn't recommending a player matched gamemode, but whatever. Your lack of a straight response to the squad of six vs. solo player (all things being equal) is answer enough.
I suppose that the next step would be terms negotiation, which would be more appropriately handled outside of this thread. My in game moniker is Clone D.

It really depends on the badasses, my friend. I can't certainly say one side or the other would win. Sometimes, I have seen very solid non verbal teamwork between blueberries, which is like winning the lottery, I know.
I agree with you that a squad of experienced players who have trained together or queued squads of such players are the strongest weapon in the game.
But there is room for soloing and some lonewolves do very well without using spam techniques. It's not absolutely one way or the other. There is room for both
