I like the ability to be able to hide your rank but it would like so you have the ability to hide everyone's ranks because it just something i don't really care about what people's rank is |

especially considering that the rank name replaces the player name on some TVs. And we don;t need to know how much money the player who killed you spent on the game. |

There WAS a thread somewhere that touched on the "Terminology" that each Race might use to REPRESENT progressing rank, without using the Private-Major-Captain verse that doesn't seem to be part of New Eden (beyond ships' captains and admirals), and encourages too much "Call of Duty" and "Battlefield 1941" leaderboard envy/embarrassment.
 I always thought a player's "Loyalty Standing" (1 through 10, and only show the standing of the race she fights in the most), would be of more intereste and importance the advertise, than rank. Recruiters want to see that, Lore-believers would be interested in know your standing, and future PC squaders who need a player they can trust would want to SEE that you at least fight for your race in FW alot.
 If "rank" must be advertised for some reason, some of us were hoping that "rank" would be represented in four unique vocabularies based on whatever each of the four unique races value the most (like religious for Amar, mining and slave history for Min, etc).
I'm sure this is something we can iron out and have the Devs revise, later after all this Bnadwith and vehicle re-introduction is fully in place.

@CCP Give us an option to turn off ALL rank info for (killfeed + kill report). It is clutter.

I think it is interesting to see how many new players there are versus how many veteran players there are in a match.
I was killed by a "Recruit" this morning. Or was it "Cadet"? What is the lowest rank? I thought it said "Recruit" but now I am second guessing myself.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.
