It would be nice if the directional arrow wasn't an either/or.
That there should be some level of scanning or tank that results in a directional arrow.
I don't mind assaults not having them. I very much mind heavies having another advantage. And as already stated, heavies get the benefit of passive scans (without sacrifice). On top of that, they get the benefits of logi reps etc.
There time better damn well be coming, because when Rattati listed the top PC over performing suits, No 1 and No 2 were both sentinels. The super OP scout that everyone has been crying about came in 3rd, but we have seen no heavy nerfs for a very long time, and lots of indirect buffs.

Because a heavy that you can't be sure how to sneak up on could kill you before you have a chance to get back behind cover once you realize he is looking right at you?
Because once they see you are in the area you have lost the only advantage you had, which is the element of surprise, and sometimes that already isn't even though I have Minja level 5, am sporting proto knives, and they still survive a charged swipe?
Because these behemoths cant tank nearly 5 to 8 times the HP that my scout suit has?

Why should anyone have to change their roles?
Sinboto is a long time scout, who was scouting and a Minja long before the 1.8 patch. Back when there were probably less than 100 players maining a Minja.
I also chose Minja because that is my style, regardless of game.
The point of the fixes should be balance, and further buffing suits like heavies that are already very much over performing, in an effort to nerf FotM scouts, while making life hell for those that are truly dedicated to the role is not effective balancing.
Nor is it reasonable to simply ask that we choose another play style in order to be relevant. We should be relevant regardless, just as support Logis should, and Assault slayers, and Commandos.
We shouldn't sacrifice legit roles for the sake of pseudo balance.

We shouldn't sacrifice legit roles for the sake of pseudo balance. True.. But you know as well as any of us, when things get nerfed.. It gets it hard.. I guess I'm just thankful that there is a radar in the game at all
I guess I would try to find solutions that fix the actual problems, and only use large heavy handed changes as a means of last resort. I would have no problem being hard mode if some of these changes were the least bad option, but I think there are many better options out there.
