Please read what I do with tanks and recommend a fit,
I have APEX sentinel suits and I use them tanks to drive to objectives
What I do is drive towards the objective and hit the scanner,
I do get spawns with MCRU when I am near the objective so I can jump out, So far the spawner usually takes over which is fine,
I generally spend about 70K on them
If I did not have the MCRU then some pesky scout would murder me and take the tank
there are any passengers then it cannot be hacked
Before I overcame the sentinels mobility by using a logi fit to span uplinks and hives but I will not be able to do that in 1.10 |

If you want to kill everyone who spawns in your tank fit Mcru in FW.
Situational awareness also known as passive scan.

Either a sica with a MCRU and shield hardeners, a railgun and armor repairers
or
a soma with armor repairers, a MCRU and a blaster
1.10 will kill stealthy scouts
time to respec into an assault :D

I do use a scanner and their is more spawning when
a) I am near an objective
and
b) There are not heaps of red dots and enemy tanks around it.
If it is expensive tank the problem is I do not want to get out and blue berries don't jump out and take
objectives. |

Mcru's are bad in tanks, if you don't have enough seats people will spawn underneath it and get crushed.
Use a grimsness
MCRU, Scanner, 2 enhanced armor repairers, Enhanced armor hardener, Blaster ammo mod, 2 blasters.

It's not a problem of your Mcru, it's friendly fire, if you don't have free seats, people will spawn under the tank, instacrushed.

wait.... are blasters good on Dropships these days? none of my pals fly, so never have a chance to use any small turrets unless its an ADS.

Honestly I wouldn't bother with the MCRU, and not for the reasons you think, instead what we used to do in FW was stop the tank in hard cover 50-100m off the point we were attacking and drop uplinks, I in an HAV with small turrets would then carry the team into position, we'd gun everything down and they'd hope out, lay more uplinks and cap the important assets nearby.
