I wonder if it will live up to the hype.

Now if only they ported Secret of Evermore....
I am sure everything ages differently, but given where I was when I played it, and the video game environment that it released in, it is easily my all time favorite. There are still a lot of games that don't come anywhere close to as complex a story.
Wasn't there 4 disks you had to swap out depending on the continent? What a large game on such an old school system. That was pushing the limits of tech, devs are lazy these days. Uhhh.... no offence CCP

You became emotionally connected to the characters. I remember actually becoming a little emotional when Aeris died. Curse you Sephiroth! Never thought of myself as a nerd but I guess that last revelation seals it.

The soundtrack was peerless. I still remember the way it sounds.

Easily in my top 3 games I have ever played.
i fully admit.. i cried when Aeris died.. even more so cause she was part of my main party in my first ever playthrough back in 97 on the 3 disk limited edition set
Dammit ok, so did I, I always had her in my party as well healing everyone.

Uhhh.... no offence CCP 3 disks. think first change from 1 to 2 was near gold saucer, 2 to 3 was near north crator.
Your right, I have the original game in my hands. 3 disks
