Every suit has a particular set of limits here. Take heavies as an example. Being a heavy practically makes it impossible to be a solo player because you need someone with you to repair your armor when you're heavily damaged, someone to keep an eye out for enemy scouts for you, and someone to help you replenish your ammo when the nearest supply depot is too far away and your suit is too expensive to suicide in. With 1.10, logis will be in high demand because they will be the ONLY ONES that can provide exactly what everyone else needs. Logistics will no longer be marginalized by scouts who have two equipment slots and they will no longer be relegated to just being spam-equipment-early-in-match suits that you later dispose of and switch to your assault/heavy/scout for the remainder of the match.

You fail to realize "HEY, THESE THINGS HAVE EQUIPMENT TOO!"
You can run Uplinks on your suit. It won't hurt anything to the links. Really. I do it.
You can run the max number of links that you can throw out anyway on a Assaults Band.
If you play Sentinel, then your ******. Maybe you might choose a suit thats NOT a suit thats primarily designed to be powerful when supported, and weak otherwise. You choose a suit with no equip. Sorry. Put 30K SP in and buy a Medium Basic, and a light gun and then feel free to put whatever equip you want in the slot.

It makes my eyes bleed, vision blur and my head throb uncontrollably. You either play this game once or twice every two weeks.... Or just haven't played for 6 months and have bought into some of the made up forum bullshit. This is what theory crafting looks like in DUST when you are out of touch with how the game actually plays.

POINT DEFENSE. AND WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR A VERY GOOD POINT DEFENSE? HIVES AND LINKS. AND YOU KNOW WHAT BRINGS HIVES AND LINKS? LOGIS. AND YOU KNOW WHERE LOGIS ARE FOUND? SQUADS.
Sents are good at assaulting right now because of CQC. All the maps support it. They are crap at solo suits because their so damn slow, getting around the map to places you need to be needs you to drop a LAV anytime you try getting anywhere. Squads provide the support heavies need to push the envelope and get places. OTherwise, Its just a slow suit getting to the fight after everybody else has gone and started.

Assaults stopped being support and primarily slayers when they lost their second equipment slot. Squads should be pitted against other squads, solo's against solo's.
Yes, but that's not to say they have no support capacity at all.
They do. If you want to have the slaying of an assault, but also hives or links, then slap some fricking hives or links on your assault. They still have the one equipment slot for if you want to have the ability to support your team in some capacity.
