I coughed up some AUR and bought the APEX Gallente Spartan Assault yesterday. Since I refuse to play FW for either Gallente or Minmatar I did not have much option there. Currently grinding for my Caldari PeaceKeepers suites... But it will take some time.
I like the Spartan, but is a little (just little) miffed that it didn't come with an Active Scanner as was advertised. I don't know when and why this was changed, but now it has a Nanohive instead. |

I was thinking about getting one of these myself. Just to clarify, can you post the full actual fitting here? Thanks, Regis. This is the most recent thing I can find... This is so u can see all the suits incase u change your mind on one.. But beware.. Three are subject to change.. As someone mentioned, the scanner on the gal assault is now a nanohive https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/trbNwYwlfKHzKjcBsdYCuUg/htmlview
I know they can change, and I am kind of ok with that. But the changes use to be preceded by discussion, like we had during the announcement of the APEX suites.
Both the excel sheet you linked and the official batch post by CCP Frame stated the Gal Assault to have a Active Scanner. I have searched the forums, and can find nothing to indicate why this was changed.
So, I have a hunch the current configuration is not intentional, but a mistake. If not, I would love to hear the reasons why this was changed.

Is this accurate? // Gallente 'Spartan' Assault Prototype Assault with: -Standard Light Damage Modifier -Standard Light Damage Modifier -Standard Shield Extender -Federation Assault Rifle -Standard Ion Pistol -Standard Locus Grenade -Standard Nanohive -Federation Armor Plate -Standard Reactive Plate -Standard Reactive Plate -Standard Dampener -Federation Armor Repairer
I am not in the game right now, but I will post the exact fitting later. The above feels correct, but I need to double check.

I personally prefer the nanohive, since the AR can eat up ammo quickly, especially when laying down suppressive fire or attacking shield/armor tanked enemies.
What do you think about the change from Locus to Flux grenade? Since the Assault Rifle has a bonus to shield damage, it would be preferable to have a Locus to finish off the armour.
Now I thave to throw the flux first, and then have a weapon which is -10% to armor. |

Thanks a lot for the info!
