GÇ£When that Sarum ***** unloaded the terran weapon, the Titan barely had a jump gate available. Most ships never made it through...
The Hearth Ember -luckily or unluckily- just happened to be floating at the right place at the right time and its rent hull was pulled through in the wake of the gaping maw. Most of the crew was dead. I myself clung to life, although it was perverse concept of living. I was rotting away within a mangled husk of a body. I was dead; my stupid pride just couldnGÇÖt accept that fact.
After MekhiosGǪGǥ
He turned his attention to his hands, which he brought over the table, and held them before him as if in fascination. It should be noted that only the intricate tattoos that ran down over his right arm marred his otherwise unblemished skin.
GÇ£You know those moments when you dream and you realize that the dream isnGÇÖt a dream but something more? Like seemingly dying and going to paradise? And when you realize that the dream is in fact a dream and you begin to awaken, you struggle to return to the dream because the real world is just a bleak and barren excuse for an existence most living it donGÇÖt want? I awoke one day. The leathery and creased face of the old brutor hovered over me; his smile although welcoming felt strange, like the snarl of a predator before a death dealing strike. I donGÇÖt remember much, yet in short I was emerged within vat which contained a pale-rose hued fluid GÇôamniotic fluid. When I was pulled forth from the amniotic fluid vat, the old brutor stated something that has been embedded into my mind ever since, GÇ£tul raok armok armok raok tul!GÇ¥ It translates to GÇÿWe burden our breath, our breath burdens us.GÇÖ I have burdened a many hours pondering the words of the sanmatar. In its basic context the phrase just states it is all the same, yet in what context did the old brutor mean as I emerged forth from immortal project?
I donGÇÖt know, nor will I waste your time in attempting to decipher it.
But I believeGǪ " The man falls silent. He becomes lost within his troubled thoughts.
"Recall when I mentioned that I was a murderer?" He began turning his attention back towards me. "Immortal, what does it mean? I guess it depends who you ask. Amarr, belligerent fools, have stated in propaganda that 'immortals are the chosen warriors of God." I guess the others have their own twisted opinions in the matter. Yet, in the end I have realized Immortals are just murderers. We, in these false skins, are an engineered plague whose true purpose is to purge the flaws from the concept of what our leaders believe New Eden to be. In the end we are expected to kill and be killed -mercilessly and without any expectation of tears to be shed in our demise.
Although, I have come to realize that we canGÇÖt be taken under sway by the very nature of our existential being. We, liken to molten metal within the flames of a forge, can be reformed and wrought once again. We can forge our own destinies. Regardless of which faction an immortal sells their soul for life eternal or what passion stirs them to struggle in the flames of war, it was a decision which that individual -immortal or otherwise- choose.
In the end it is like the old brutor stated GÇ£it is all the same.GÇ¥
In our turbulent times, the only thing that matters shall be our own choices and the personal convictions we pay in order to make those choices.
Which path do we choose?GÇ¥
He brought his hands down on the table and lifted himself; rising from his chair. I urged him to stay, yet my attempts were in vain. As he turned his back to me making his path out of the room, I knew I would never meet the man again.
Thus ends my interview with Jofur Mur.

((My apologies. My knowledge of the lore of EVE is faulty and unreliable at best, yet for a dramatic depth to my character's background I allude to the possibility of a 'what if' one ship/survivor had survived. Realizing this I know my story would not be within reason of the canon thus it is purely for entertainment's sake.))

Where we are going we don't need roads. -Part 3
The planet was marred by thick pockets of gas which lingered like a miasma and poisoned the life of any who dare enter within it's limits. Yet, it was for that very reason that the squad was deployed by Scotty to capture the refinery: the gas was a marketable resource.
Jofur Mur grasped at the fluttering piece of chest armor and cursing his fate reached for the most celebrated item within a Minmatar's repertoire: a polyethylene coated scrim-backed pressure sensitive tape known throughout the Cosmos as Duct Tape. The piercing boom of another missile volley from the cannon of a MADRUGAR HAV caused him to shift his priorities, and he dug himself deeper into the trench in which he found himself. The ground trembled violently as the blast came close to his position and chunks of earth rained over him causing him to tumble.
"I hesitate to ask," Jofur Mur's voice resonated throughout the neocoms of his companions, " yet, what does a honey badger and this MADRUGAR have in common?" Another blast could be heard in the distance as the pilot of the HAV harbored no restraint and shot about without little hesitation.
...
On an opposing rise, which due to it's elevation and the manner in which it protruded from an rocky outcropping gave an advantageous view of the battlefield, Sellene and her new companion Abraxas, gazed at the world through the lens of their scopes. When allotted they were bestowed the judgment of gods, given a moment to consider the life of their opponents, yet more often than naught they little hesitated in smiting an opposing soldier.
Sellene glanced the battlefield: an opposing mercenary force of immortals had laid claim to defend the refinery. As such the key to this battle would be in claiming the NULL CANNONS -the only planetary defenses which could pierce the defenses of either opposing factions MCC. At the first the battle was clearly in their favor, yet as time continued, opposing mercs deployed heavily armored HAVs which granted them the current advantage. The situation was becoming far more daunting then originally anticipated.
Cannon fire from the MADRUGAR screamed once more from closer to the compound. The area which the others -Jamie, Jofur, Sned and Wishtafas- had positioned themselves to control.
"Joffy, don't tell me that HAV is giving you a problem?" Sellene responded through the neocom. She spotted the HAV moving through the compound area. Worry claimed her for her squad mates, yet from out here there was little she could do.
"Okay Jofur, the correct question to ask is "what do honey badgers and WE have in common." Sned's tranquil voice spoke throughout the neocom.
Sellene sought them out from her location but she couldn't see what positions the others had taken. "Look over there, right along the base of the tower."Abraxas uttered. Sellene glanced in the direction which he pointed. Barely visible from behind a towering structure, which happened to be a refinement chimney for the compound, Sellene could hardly make out the image of a LAV and a flurry of motion from her squad mates. She counted three of them.
"What are you guys doing..." Sellene asked.
A moment later another blast from the MADRUGAR resonated. Jofur's voice broke the neocom in a harsh grunt and quickly issued off in a flurry of static. Sellene pointed her scope at the HAV and followed the cannon's line of sight, it was shooting at a ravine which had been constructed in order to route several exhaust pipes out beyond the red zone -removal of deadly byproducts which was created during the refinement process. Jofur must be suppressed there.
"Jofur?" Sellene questioned.
"We and honey badgers, to answer your question Jofur, don't give a..." Sned's voice interrupted on the neocom. "F**K!" Erupted Jamie and Wishtafas causing Sellene to wish she could lower the audible volume of her neocom.
An LAV roared throughout the compound. Sellene watched as the LAV raced in velocity, it's tires at times barely touching the floor as it would bounce, elevating due to high speeds and the uneven ground. Sellene could here Abraxas chuckle, "crazy sons-of-b*****s!"
Their trajectory was the MADRUGAR, Sellene recognized that easily enough, but what could an LAV due to an armored and heavily gunned HAV. Unless they were made of some mystical force that LAV would be nothing but burning husk within moments of encountering the HAV.
The LAV barreled towards the HAV with no intention of stopping. The pilot of the MADRUGAR, having registered the approaching opponent lazily turned the aim of his vehicle unto the coming LAV. 'Reckless idiots,' considered the pilot smugly. Then Sellene saw took note. It was at that moment that the pilot of the HAV realized his last mistake on this battlefield...
The hood of the LAV was littered with REs (remote explosives). "YAMAH!" Wishtafas cried out over the neocom.
As the LAV fast approached the HAV, the three squad mates jumped from the loaded vehicle. The HAV piloted attempted to ignite boosters, but it was too late. As Jamie, Sned, and Wishtafas bodies rolled along the ground, the earth shook once more as explosive fire erupted and engulfed the HAV.
"I was actually going to say, that both were going to be extinct." Jofur quipped weakly.

As the "Goddess of YAMAH" if we keep our faith in you, you have to believe that we know you are invincible -even if you don't realize it sometimes.
