The roadmap still exists. It is a separate board altogether.
Allowing CCP to crowdsource ideas is a step in the right direction... would you rather them just develop features without our input? At least this way they know what is on our minds.
Also, any player can request to be added to the board. I got access in less than 24 hours after I sent my email.

Crowdsourcing should be done *ON SITE*. Having the roadmap visible offsite is fine, but the discussion should be done here.

1. CCP pulled data on the ADS and it was insane. Judge R. himself said he was averaging 50 K/D in one. That means the ADS needed a nerf. Some pilots are bitter about losing their crutch, but the gravy train's wheels eventually fall off. Adapt or die
2. The **** are you going on about? Rattati has several feedback threads open right now. He pulled the proposed changes to the cloak and ewar modules due to forum feedback.
3. You post ideas. Comments on said ideas are not necessary. If an idea adds nothing to the game, or is broken, then CCP won't use it.

The rules on the Trello board specifically state that it should not be treated as a forum. You can add a comment or a link to a DUST forum thread to explain your idea more, but that's about it. So the DUST threads will still be important. |

It's so secret, that it isn't mentioned right in the sticky.
So secret that there's not even a link to it in the official Dev Blog.
So secret that you can't even make threads about it.
Hmm... Something isn't quite right here...
Oh, yeah, it's not a freaking secret.
If people can't even make the effort to at least read the sticky or skim the Dev Blog to find out about the Trello page, well **** 'em, those aren't the kinds of people that should be giving input anyways.

"If people can't be bothered to exhaustively pour through the forums to find links to non-ccp websites their input shouldn't be considered. We don't want them scrutinizing how we push our agendas". No, development discussion should be done in stickied threads on feedback and ideas, It is entirely too easy to miss the links to the off-site discussion.
We've had examples of this being abused before with the IRC.

You're approaching this wrong, Mina. CCP are people. They will solicit conversation in whatever way they feel is the most productive to improve their game.
It would be concerning if CCP were endorsing a method of communication that is hosted or moderated by a non-neutral third party. That was potentially the case in IRC for awhile, actually, though Grid and Nova ended up working fine. In the case of Trello, just like here on the forums, CCP are in control of the content. No player group can filter what CCP sees in terms of feedback.
If you're arguing that CCP haven't advertised the Trello board as expansively as makes sense, that's could potentially be reasonable. Being angry that CCP have decided to solicit feedback in a different way while they still control what stays and what goes, that's just impractical. Being angry that people who have more time to post content will probably have more influence over policy, that's just a bad interpretation of reality. Quantity and quality are both important factors in the case of policy influence.

Needs to be clearly visible in the e-mail and clearly stickied, it's own sticky, in the feedback forum. *shrugs* Don't mind me, I just think it could use more of a spotlight if it's going to be a different site.

Lol, you already have the forums.
I agree with some people. It should be part of this site not a website most people isn't going to use or going to see. Besides CCP use to post about commonly requested ideas ever so often months ago. This might just get plastered with dumb ideas and/or a lot of ideas won't get voted on in the first place. Good try in theory, but it should be on this site because it will have more exposure. |

1. Pubs and PC are chalk and cheese, just because someone does well in pubs doesnt mean its broken when the enemy will not bring out AV or vehicles to counter act the problem at hand
2. Adapt or die i can say the same thing to those who use AV but of course that doesnt matter because you generally cry so now swarms always catch up and the AB is generally useless now
3. He had feedback threads for the ADS then decided to ignore everything in the thread and did his own thing
3. Posting ideas without the ability to scrutinize it is poor form
4. Whoever mentioned IRC is correct, the owners/mods banned anywho who basically didnt agree with them or CCP so it was giving biased info to CCP when in fact the forum should be the main place to discuss anything about the game |
