- We will see less scouts, those using scouts because of their opness will mostly move to sentinels or assaults.
- Sentinels514 is still a fact, at least in PC they will still rule. The buff to mediums ewar is an indirect nerf to them, but at the same time the nerf to scouts is an indirect buff to sentinels.
Also removing enemy orientation from tacnet is another goo thing for sentinels.
- Commandos will still be underused and underpowered.
- Ewar is important for everyone now, not only for scouts, we will see a lot of mediums running dampeners or prec enhancers, especially logis.
- There will obviously be less equipment spam and so (I hope) better framerate.
- Be happy, cause this is the end of roofcamping. With only 300 WP you can clear a roof from every uplinks. 400 wp is nothing, it is Even easier now that we have that 25%bonus to WP while near an objective.
Even if you are playing alone you can create your own time and with only 4 kills (50wp*1.2*1.25=75wp per kill) you will be able to clear that roof from all their equipments.
So I just have to say, good job CCP, good job CCP Rattati. Thank you for bringing back the hope I lost months ago.
I hope I'm right.

Cloak+shotgun scouts are also buffed because there will be less stuff passive scanning them (Amarr scouts are back to joke suit status). The tacnet nerf doesn't much affect them as its useless when cloaked anyway. |

I've never really had to worry about scanning to see opponents, if I can move fast and kill with one shot with my shotgun, then the scout role will still be a viable one.
This is a nerf to everyone's scans, meaning the ones who can play stealthily will have even more of an advantage now, that's the way I see it anyway.
Maybe now scouts will be more of a specific playstyle instead of just spammed everywhere. Now if they only let scouts carry shotguns as a primary weapon those people playing assault in a scout suit will be forced to use assault and the scout role will become what it always should have been, an acquired taste.
If they only let heavies use heavy weapons, those wanting to play assault will have to play assault and not win gunfights based on pure HP.
This is the only way to introduce true SKILL into the game.

- I'm not so sure about that. Scouts will still be good with the reduced scanrange and short range scans of 5m won't help against scouts with shotguns or rifles. The only ones taking a hard hit are scouts with knives, unfotunately.
- True, we most certainly won't be seing less sentinels, but I heard Rattati is working on a KingHP fix... Not sure why the buff to medium EWAR should be an indirect nerf really. Now finally an Assault will be able to even hide from a Gal Logi scan monster with proto active scanner by using 3x damps. Mediums without EWAR modules will see eachother slightly sooner (~5m), again not really that dramatic. And scouts will still see sentinels at pretty much the same ranges as they do now.
- Probably yes. Commandos could really need some love.
- Overall, scanranges of scouts have been nerfed but scanranges of mediums are almost staying the same because of the range falloff. Again the only ones being picked up earlier are Sentinels and mediums without skills.
- True about the equipment spam, not so sure about framerate. It would be nice though if this would really increase framerate.
- Not sure if it will really be the end, but at least now it is easier to counter it. But as long as there are a ton of places where you can put uplinks inside of structures and thus making them indestructible, there will still be roof camping.

A lot of players are saying this is a nerf for real scouts and a buff to tanked scouts(assault scouts). My prevision, that may be wrong, is that tanked scouts will almost disappear, they will move to assaults.
Also, 300wp ob will be used against gunlogis by organized squads
