2 heavy weapons: AMARR heavy weapon Gallente heavy weapon
the caldari already has nova knifes, magsec smg and the minmatar smg
More melee weapons are unnecessary. What do they do differently / better? Apply damage in one hit rather than two?
I'd rather see the amarr have more than 2 rifles and a pistol, they need an av weapon of some kind.

DEATH THE KlD wrote:What is with the Amarr and no swords? Seriously it'd be laser technology they're not barbaric or in the ice age like minmatar. But a laser lance would be sick.
Y'know, the whole "HURRR AMARR = ALL LASERS ALL THE TIME" is a really idiotic misconception. Amarr prize efficiency and reliability. Lasers don't use 'ammunition' (aside from crystals which degrade slowly and are easy to carry replacements of), laser batteries can theoretically be recharged off of dropsuit power packs though it would take quite some time. Heat is a limiting factor but that just means you have to be more efficient with how you place your shots.
A 'laser sword' is beyond idiotic, and when people talk about a 'laser lance' they're not talking about a 'lance' in the sense of a mounted knight, but rather something like a 'lance battery' due to the word 'lance' also sometimes being used for projectiles like javelins or atlatl arrows. It's also quite frequently used in other sci-fi and fiction to denote large gun emplacements that fire lasers such as http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Lance or http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs26/f/2008/098/3/b/Lance_Turret_by_The_First_Magelord.png

DEATH THE KlD wrote:Lmao. So in a futuristic very advanced setting a laser sword or lance is idiotic? I'm not referring to this **** now am I? If you can't accept my thoughts why should I accept yours? tl,dr; "I know nothing about the various races or what values they hold in high regard, but I'm going to presume to lecture you about them". Laser melee weaponry is inefficient and unreliable, furthermore the amarr don't like to fight in close quarters instead opting for long range stand and deliver options in which they can wear down the enemy and crush their morale. The Amarr always seek to win the war in the mind before they win the war with the body.
The gallente and the minmatar are the races that don't mind getting up close and punching people in the face.

I didn't say anything about an axe. I was also poking True Adamance (a player I know fairly well) about his love for warhammer and religious iconography with some other media. As far as things go, the Amarr are one of the least likely races to resort to melee combat.

Spears/lances are too big to be reliable though. I could see something like a gladius (which is great at stabbing into armor), or if you wanted to go full hellboy 2, you could have something like that that also extends from a leaf bladed sword into a leaf bladed spear.
