So due to the multiple respec's that I have purchased , I have played with all the suits that I was interested in and a few things bother me somewhat , no biggie but I noticed that the resistance bonuses should play into how you approach and kill a sentinel but they really don't .
Gal and Amarr should be harder to kill for shotguns because of the projectile resistance and Cal and Min should be able to resist NK's better then they do because of the plasma resistance and I herd and thought that the NK's use plasma so you would think that these methods would be hindered somewhat because of the bonuses .
I just don't see the resistance bonuses really having a effect on how each races sentinel is approached because they all die fast to NK's and SG's but there bonuses should be some type of buffer against these weapons but they don't seem to have any negating effect .
Didn't make this for any argument or scout bashing , just some things that I noticed .
It should be harder to kill Min and Cal sentinels with NK's , just like it should be harder to kill Gal and Amarr with SG's .
I used them all at level 5 except the Cal and didn't notice any difference .

Well how about for starters Nova Knives do "Pure" damage just like normal melee, hence why the Nova Knife proficiency skill is a raw 3%/level bonus period NOT to either shield OR armor, but BOTH.
Secondly, and importantly, Shotguns are NOT projectiles hence why the proficiency bonus deals 3%/level bonus against shields, look Galante not Minnie, and is a Blaster Hybrid weapon (+10% shields -10% armor).
So...

Yup, Shotties, ARs, Blaster turrets (both large and small), Ion Pistols and Plasma Cannons are all classed as Hybrid Blasters.

Sort of, but it is a double-edged sword. The Minnie relies on mobility and the Cal on regen, and both suffer from a notable lower EHP pool then the Gal and Amarrian heavies so right off the bat they are "easier" to kill if shots start landing in a short-range in-your-face engagement. Next while they do have a resist against Blasters they are also fighting against the natural bonus of the blaster (Blasters do +10% against shields, the primary HP of both Minnie and Cal sents)...
So in the end they usually get blown away even faster against a steady-handed Shot Gunner (Or an SG-user using surprise).
