Wait so by missions... Hold on, EPIC? This sounds better than khanid cereal in freshly thawed dairy! You mean story is finally being brought into dust, slavage gameplay and looting are upcoming, and in a couple months were looking at a new expansion with player trading, warbarges, and other awesomeness? Don't tease me, this really makes me want to recruit more ppl to this game even though my old recruits all quit playing. Its a shame I have to wait a week to see any of this happen |

Nobody cares about cod. Dust with missions I care about and so what if it starts as based off something else. We've got an agent, now we're gonna have missions, it's like maybe a step away from having agents that you get missions from and maybe some kind of career based paths with different missions based on your role, and thats an EVE thing so sit back and rejoice |

Edit: saw the missions and strongboxes pictures. Would like more variation in the missions, but for now this is really awesome. i hope branching from this that we may see sleeper drones(they could use the old super aggressive turret installation ai) because although I want mtacs, i know a lot of ppl that would be pulled in by questing, player trading, and pve. anyway really really aqesone stuff I feel the need to try to control your expectationsGǪ Read the missions in the image. Calling these GǣmissionsGǥ might be overstating what they are a little bit. They are more like GǣchallengesGǥ. But still a good step in the right direction. I see the "missions" and "salvage" as trying to emulate the Gameplay experience they intend for Legion, in DUST, as best they can given DUST's current limiting structure. Edit: I don't think we are likely to see Sleeper Drones... But we could have this.
I saw the image, my expectations are well under control. And I am still as excited as I was initially. These "missions" are a good starting point and introduce the means for a more fleshed out set of actual quests intothe client. For a patch, tthat's all we need. Missions can then be updated through server side updates or hotfixes. Re: your edit, I think sleeper drones(which they have art assets for small, medium, and large drones BTW) that use the aggressive turret ai with some new code for moving and patrolling are just as plausible as the proposed new game mode(this running the gauntlet style Dom that's been outlined in ur link) except I'd give the edge to sleeper drones for the reasons that 1) everybody wants sleeper drone battle pve and 2) there are storyline reasons why sleeper drones should be a thing in dust

Wait, no. I agree. Please also fix the exact same bug with vehicles and installations, because I also can't hack a turret that has a squad around it bc ppl keep using it to shoot my allies. And I keep having to actually fight tanks bc for some reason I can't hack them while someone's driving it. Oh and also, I'm having some trouble counterhacking letters while an opponent is in the middle of hacking it.
Now, before anyone loses their marbles here, I'm being sarcastic. A heavily defended hack point that is currently in use is ridiculously secure and should require either enough sneakiness to steal the point out from under all their noses or enough force to deal with the players securing that point. Please think about this before making such posts, you didn't make a lot of sense there.
You want to hack a supply depot with lots of ppl around it fine. I do it all the time. Be ready to hack it 3 times bc ppl will keep using it if they don't notice you. And be ready for a fight if they do notice you |

The correct term in-world is remote shield booster. Currently we have only remote armor repairers, although i cant see why we dont have handheld shield boosters. I cant figure out why we have to carry a gun either... In eve my drone carrier had 3 turrets: a shield booster, an armor repper, and a hull repper (sometimes also a salvage tool)
Edit: this is what a gallente logi should be. No guns, just fighting drones repping drones scouting drones and salvage drones... Or maybe just a whole lot of repping drones or a few fighting drones and a scanner. Or a rep tool a shield booster a rep drone and a fighting drone. Anyway gallogis need drones(bc radars is kinda a scout equipment) |
