"First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

You cook the grenade in your hand and then run towards your enemy with it. 9m blast will kill them all ;)

I could not destroy an uplink with it, the uplink was a bit raised, in that Bridge domination map next to the empty shed or whatchummacall it. An enemy respawn and I got killed. I would think that with a 9m blast radius it could destroy an uplink 1 inch above ground level. My controllers are generic PS3 Controllers, buttons dont work so well but you guys are right, I would love to learn to use it more accurately, I had to default to flux since I only play infiltration scout these days. Not much need for locus

use the core locus grenade, it has a bigger radius and like 6x the damage I think (wow that makes so much sense)
Why must you use prototypes?

Not much need for locus Ah, this was a case of bad hit detection caused by terrain. This would have happened with any explosive that had landed in the same spot.

You dont.
You have more chance of using effectively a cooked Packed Grenade....

Sleeks are pretty useless as long as they don't have 450+ points in damage.
My Isk payout gets lower and lower the more I play, even though I'm getting better. Smells like success.

Timtron Victory wrote:I saw some users recommend it. How do you use it? , Okay. The posts here were hilarious, but yes, there is an intent to SLEEK variants.
Within the shelf of grenades you can afford, the sleek version is supposed to be an economical way to increase your explosive force without having to spend more SP and ISK on an advance grenade. To give you a more powerful "blast" (to kill even a tougher-shell enemy player), it is sacrificing impact "area" (radius),...(which means it won't kill the enemy player's friend, even if he was standing right next to him with his arm around his shoulder when you threw the sleek-grenade).
Like alot of items in Dust, you can't just "recommend" it, or call it "worthless", without knowing the conditions in which you plan to use it.
Footmercs tend to move around or away when you toss a locus grenade, so splash damage is necessary most of the time, and a sleek LOCUS grenade can't get much chance to hurt them unless they stood there and didn't see it coming.
VEHICLES can't easily move away when a grenade is tossed, so a SLEEK locus grenade (or homing sleek A/V grenade) can allow you to hurt them a little more than going out and buying more expensive advanced-regular locus grenades.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

Really any locus besides core is really just a deterrent. Toss grenade to get a few seconds to reload or whatever. |
