NB4 Re-race...

I guess something has to replace the respec threads.

Luckily for me, I just so happen to like my race and will be going for Gallente.

At least they'll get paid better to lose.

It's good to know the Amarr armies are just as pathetic as their half dead, dog of an empress.

What's wrong with it benefiting the race you chose at character creation? Did none of you read the descriptions of the race, or watch the movies about them? If you were just too eager to start pew pewing, I have no sympathy for you.

Keep complaining, and you will receive a race change. Just like people complained to high heaven for respecs. The squeaky wheel gets the grease after all.

Ex. Amarr players receive 100,000 ISK for each Amarr match won.

This is garbage as we chose our races long long ago when we had no clue. Even now players choose their race without any idea.

There has to be a better way to do this.....


EDIT: confirmed it is race based which is trash.

It isn't 100(,)000, it is 100(DOT)000= 100 isk. CCP isn't that generous.

Man am I glad that I followed my usual RPG routine, and restarted with the actual race I preferred after beta...

But still, this is a major letdown for everybody who has become friends and comrade with other than his birth race.


We won't change anything short term, but I proposed a solution for that problem some time ago.


Do not re race any character.

But

Change the character portrait and allegience to another race, if the character has fought for a race almost exclusively.

You would have to gain the highes rank in FW.
You would have to have zero points with the opposing race.
You would be given some sort of honorary title, which would be different from the purebreeds, but still a title to be proud of.

After this achievement you would be asked to join said race as a member, and this would change your profile pic and allegience (which would make it possible to gain advantages from fighting for your preferred race in future events).

It's not about that though. It's about players having their agency taken away. For a game that is purported to thrive on the promise and scope of its players agency it seems like a short sighted and poor way to generate good sentiments amongst the remaining player base.

PIE Inc is an all Amarrian corporation (you can't be in it if you are not True Amarr, Khanid, or Ni Kunni) which is why the then CEO of the allianced recognised that other loyalists equally as devoted to the Empire come from other bloodlines hence the reason the Praetorian Auxiliary Force (PAUX) exists.

I could list of dozens of names of players who continue to fight for the Amarr Empire who are Gallentean, Caldari, and Minmatar.

Why not benefit or recognise those people for what they contribute?

I am just happy at the chance to gain more LP.

It is comical that only racials fighting for their race get the bonus ISK however. I mean I am Caldari, I use all 4 races tech and dropsuits, I fight for Minmatar FW generally and only then because that's what my corp mates wanted at the time, hence I built up standings for them.

Are there many that fight for their actual character race?

Ok so I guess I lucked out when picking my race in closed beta because that's mostly what I run... Yay I get extra isk, yay I can get more lp... Oh wait.. The only hours I can play are right after downtime.. Sooo I will never be getting a apex suit, never be able to buy things from the loyalty store.. Please fix this

people who come up with dumb ideas like re-race re-name ect should just be banned for annoyinly stupid requests. after nearly 11yrs in EVE i'm probably a little more against the ridiculous pandering the playerbase seems to demand of CCP, respecs fine but changing name/race i mean ffs wah-wah-wah, there is so much other s**t i'd rather have fixed/added to the game than ccp wasting man hours working on pointless tat, hands up folks, do you wanna change your chars name or would you rather see drone infestation mode? skirmish 1.0? or perhaps fully intergrated player trading? i know which i'd rather see brought in first
