An ISK bonus is nice, but it doesn't change the fact that one side loses 90% percent of the time, thereby jamming all the players on the winning side into 30 minute wait times and creating a huge waste of time for all involved.
FW is flawed.

FW is flawed. Mabye the goal was to break the log jam? All I know is when we q-synch Cal FW we get in match after match pretty much instantly. Players trying to chase the winning side don't really have anyone to blame but themselves. Still I think the event would cater better to how players want to play by just doing 100k ISK for wins for whatever faction you do the most matches for or maybe just give you 100k ISK for every win. Let the players decide which faction they want to fight for.
It is easy to get into Cal faction, and Gallente players are making everything worse, but I don't see how this event helps that. More people will play Minmatar and Gallente because it's the easiest way to make LP, and CaldarI and Amarr players will continue to struggle.
Incentives for playing for your chosen race is good, it's just that one side has a distinct advantage. Blueberries just don't know any better.

Templar XIII wrote:There is no incentive to engage in Amarr or Caldari FW. Gallente and Minmatar suits, modules and weapons plus the APEX suits are much more attractive than the aforementioned faction's, which is why q-syncing squads all flock to Minmatar and Gallente FW, leaving the rest to solos, making them easy bait. The event won't change this, no it will rather make the situation worse than it is already. Right now it is almost impossible to fight for Amarr or Caldari, as each game is being unbearably lagged to its utmost. Different picture when fighting on Gallente or Minmatar side: no teleporting reds here...how come? As long as rewards are so one-sidedly balanced, I will stick to Minmatar and Gallente FW if ever, though I'd love to fight for Amarr. No gain, no need to pain. Speaking of weapon balancing: FW will tell you the story; consumables of perceived and experienced greatest usability and performance draw the most and more organized customers/mercs. FW is no different.
+1
