On impact ridge the red line kills the map completely which was one of my favorite maps before you guys made is smaller. The first min one team often takes the point and the rest of the time your team either sits on the red line with tanks/snipers or sits at the enemies red line burning suits trying to get a kill because we are so board.
Fracture Road: Since you guys moved the MMCs above the pipes it does not require drop ships to get a strategic position and isolates the map to the point in domination removing removing any strategic benefit to the other points on the map.
You guys are dulling the game. What you guys did to impact ridge makes me dread it and often quit.

You guys are dulling the game this goes for all the maps if anything the players want to be rid of the red line. I don't know whos idea it was to make the maps smaller, but he/she should be lashed. What you guys did to impact ridge makes me dread it and often quit so I don't have to play it.
For the players that do not know the maps by name look below.

My concern about Fracture Road is that your MCC spawn on the west side is totally unprotected and all three matches I've played on that map in domination have had one or two guys making a be line for the western end of the pipes and they farm kills from anyone dropping from the MCC and the nearest ground spawn. Additionally, the eastern MCC is protected inside the redline so you still have a pretty major disadvantage built in.
Getting the MCCs over the pipes was a decent idea although i honestly like some parts of the map really forcing you to use a Dropship to solve the tactical problem. The exeuction of the fix helped but has created some additinonal problems.

Such a critical position as "above the point" should not require a single role to get there.

Such a critical position as "above the point" should not require a single role to get there. I am sure someone will make some argument about "It means that the most strategically adept team would win because they were willing to use dropships; let my role manner!" Though the counter to that is "one person calling in a dropship one time to get a huge advantage that often won the match is not high strategy and requires no SP in dropships so it can hardly be called a role."
I like Fracture Road a lot more. It is now the bloodiest slugfest on Domination, on par with beta Manus Peak Ambush. Like the Gallente Research Facility, it localizes everyone to an area to fight but unlike the Research Facility it doesn't devolve into "we got there first!" nearly as often. Dropships are still useful as you can drop guys on the enemy pipes to take out their Uplinks and guys. Sure they can drop from the MCC and run back but that is slowing them down critically.
Impact Ridge is one I agree with. The closer red line is useful for the side that comes in on the hill because before a single railgun tank could stop the enemy team from calling in ANY vehicle. I could sit there and take free pot shots as the RDV came in with nearly nothing the enemy could do about it. In truth, just changing the layout slightly so that doesn't happen as easily was all that was needed. With the small map, whoever sets up at the point first pretty much instantly redlines the opponents. It is not fun for anyone when you can't get out of your red line without dying and the enemy isn't really enjoying sitting there trying to find people to shoot.
Fracture Road was a very positive change that has made the map more balanced. Impact Ridge has been made a lot more static but hasn't changed the fact that it has always been a one sided stomp.

I don't have any problems with the pipes and the highground. what annoys the **** out of me is the invisible wall under the metal frame up high. You can shoot through it but not walk or rep. |
