I personally have no luck, when ever I pull an ADS everyone flocks to supply depot and often get killed because WTF swarms still curving around buildings ECT.
Swarms have to counter IMO, once locked on and fired it is extremely hard to avoid them. Stress of extremely.
P.S. Me and my friend fit an ADS with 2 XT-1 turrets and we got two shotted by a redline railgun, then called in tank to destroy turret and called in ADS again and got blown up by one player with STD swarms. (we hit AB right when we herd the swarm go off but they caught up and destroyed us. I definitely have no luck.
I'm not gonna say swarms are OP because I know i'm about to have tomatoes thrown at me if I did. all the good ADS pilots still do great in PC. its the bad pilots that are the ones that suffer now.
This "if you don't do well with vehicles it automatically means you just suck" mentality is such a trademark of being dense.
How is it possible for people to forget that so many of DUST's features are tiered, that any playing that is longest playing/highest paying will always have an advantage over others?
Where regardless any skill tree requires heavy amounts of grinding, but people who've been here since quite a while have nothing to worry? Where heavy booster buyers don't have to worry?
Where everything gets better the higher the level, when it should be getting better and worse? (e.g. Ridiculously powerful rail guns at proto that don't get anything to balance them, like far more heat buildup than the lower tier versions)
Where nearly every type of skill in the tree has a bonus attached to it, so if someone were to have at least one level above you, you'd lose then and there?
Where, in this game, you need prototype things, or at least level five skills and advanced gear just for basic survival needs? Where as long as anything is not the above statement it's far below basic survival or performance requirements.
Flying a dropship is easy, albeit the wonky physics, though no one is going to survive against swarms when the fact that for shield based dropships there's some horrible crutches. You have a huge and nearly unchangeable shield recharge delay that you have no modules meant to improve it because they were removed. The only way to have better regen and try to improve the delay is a shield booster, in which if you don't have prototype or so, will make you wait quite a while in the battle field because you desperately need it to survive. If you used armour based dropships you have some way of exploiting the armour regeneration, yet the wide majority of things can kill you far faster than the shield based ones. You have tanks that can 2 hit you with rails, missile turrets that can barrage you quite easily, people who bring swarms out first thing to farm WP off of your vehicle, forgegunners, and sometimes bold plasma cannon users who spent quite a bit making their plasma cannons be able to 1-2 hit most vehicles. Without basic suvival needs(keyword: PROTO/Advanced stuff jacked up on level five bonuses) you of course will die. Grow some observation skills on this game's state people.
My Isk payout gets lower and lower the more I play, even though I'm getting better. Smells like success.
