I am interested in any builds Maybe a commando with an active scanner and a laser rifle maybe you could use the laser rifle to detect a cloaked scout, you would angle your aim down a bit quickly sweep it back and forth if the beam is blocked by and invisible scout you notice the line the laser makes getting shorter.

Mass drivers are comedy gold when killing scouts.
Vastly more effective than an HMG in that role.
EVE Online is what you get when engineers attempt to create "fun" without consulting someone who comprehends the word.

Amarr Scout with 2x complex precision.
Most scouts, especially the super tanked ones, can't escape that if they don't dedicate their suit towards not being detected.
Other than that, the best thing you can do is pay attention, check corners, and just as a general rule always expect a scout around the next corner. Frequently checking what's behind you also helps.
Using dampeners yourself also helps a lot. Most of those super tanked scrub scouts are really **** if they can't see you on their radars anymore. It will be hard for them to sneak up behind you and you will frequently bump into them because all they do is looking at their radar. Using 2x complex damps on a medium suit is enough to not show up on most of their radars. (And as a bonus you also won't be detected by proto active scanners, except GalLogi. If there is a GalLogi with a scanner, don't bother using damps. These monsters will keep your whole team permascanned and the only thing that can escape that are scouts. GalLogis need a nerf.)

Mass drivers are pretty effective, plasma cannon if you can use it properly, and if you have a commando having a shotgun as secondary weapon can be very handy against scouts too. But having adapted weaponry won't replace a good situational awareness and teamwork. If you're not in squad you can still use the blueberries as detectors, look at the radar, when a blue disappears and you see shotgun or knives in the kills list, you can guess where the scout is.

3 guns can wreck scouts pretty fast when they attack you : shootgun, Scrambler Rifle, mass driver. In my opinion Scrambler Rifle wins the race. Especialy if you have amarr assault + you can tap r1 like crazy.
Ps. Amarr scout with precision will get wrecked by other scouts. Even if he would tank armor, Cal/gal would have more hp while being dampened +amarr is slow.
PSS. You need 3 things to deal with scouts : - good aim - run with squad - situational awareness.

here is a squishy and kind of slow but funny scout troll fit
gallente ADV scout, 3 complex precision enhancers, 2 complex range amplifiers, maybe use 1 range amplifier and use 1 complex kin cat instead,
you can scan everything from miles away, you have so much distance and time to plan your attacks and scouts are lit up like christmas trees.
but again, verrrrry verrrry squishy.

Use an Amarr scout with a mass driver.
The Federation is not a defined region of space, of planets, of mountains, rivers, or woods. It is a vision.

You can't scan them...forget it. Best thing you can do is use your senses. Watch your back, listen for shotgun fire ( if they're using nova knives, you can forget it), pay attention to close blue dots disappearing, etc

Assuming you have precision and range maxed...
2 PE's on a CalScout (post-precision-nerf) still scans a ton of scrub/pub scouts when combined with cmplx range amplifier. IMO, well worth losing tank for in those circumstances. If real scouts are about (enough damps to get under, then resort to tanking and situational awareness).
That said, I'm seeing Gallente and Minmatar APEX scouts on radar in FW. And from players I know to have maxed dampening skills. Sorry to those who thought I didn't see you coming...
Give the Magsex some love.

Depends on the scout. As a rough rule:
If they have 0 dampeners, use a Caldari scout If they have 1 dampener, use an Amarr scout If they have 2 dampeners, use an assault and your eyes |
