Been noticing that proto amarr and proto gallente assault suits don't like to die.
Anti-Armor weapons ripping holes in that armor and they still keep moving.
I can wipe out a proto caldari suit in an instant with a scrambler, but the opposite damage profile meta doesn't happen with the same efficiency.
Working as intended? Or was something changed recently?
I swear. Killing proto Amarr and Gal assault suits is like trying to smash [insert something irritatingly durable and annoying to kill].

Only change I know of :/ That was in the previous hotfix, which was somehow removed when they released 1.9. They had to hotfix those rep rates back in afterwards.
It's not something that's entirely new.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

Well armor suits, by their very function are supposed to be more tanky. They just don't seem to die fast enough to their alleged weakness.
While shield suits seem to die quickly vs. weapons they should be strong against.
I dont think the reps are significant enough to impact this. I think it's a combination of shields having less capacity, and anti-shield weapons having more alpha.
I just thought something was weird, because I remember a certain player that made the point for a good suit balance, and thats what we had. Shield vs. Armor.
Armor suits really just seem more viable right now.

Armor suits really just seem more viable right now. Pretty much the just of things. You basically answered your own question. Armor is the go to tank right now.

I don't know. My intuition is sharp. I just find it tough to articulate. Something just feels off about the TTK against them when you are using their bane. Maybe the Assault Rail Rifle needs some help? Or do we just not have enough anti-armor variants? Breach CR? Tactical RR?
I was asking, because I know there are very knowledgeable players here.

Cause cry hards make CCP overlook over nerfing weapons.. Look how they turded up the Rail Riffle to make it a not popular weapon. My shields suits where imune to it's armor killing ways but every single armor tanker cried rivers of tears to make it a **** weapon.

The RR was as equally (maybe less) overpowered as the ScrR is vs. shields. |

Dual tank ftw? If you have a good shield buffer in an armor tanked suit, you will be able to survive the armor based damage weapons for a bit, but you need to dodge some bullets in order to "win". I tried not to dual tank at first, but the ACR/CR/ARR kills me fast, so i needed the shield buffer to at least put up a fight, but now i win some and lose some, not lose them all...
