And oh, how I wish I could have had the SP back then for something like this.
CCP, please put tanks back to where they were before. Give the blasters their accuracy back, nerf the damage and range back down, and let us finally have a tank that feels like an investment, not just another "Meh, time to bail out" vehicle. The ability to have super tanks is no longer in Dust and it's sad that Isk (And SP) sinks like these don't exist anymore for the players with a decent wallet amount.
I want to punch.

The difference between the Sagaris and the Surya compared to the Gunnlogi and Madrugar were negligible. Shield one had one extra low and the armor one had one extra high. For the extravagant price difference, it simply was not worth it. The old vehicles had less customization than they do now, believe it or not. If you were not running the Madrugar as a Triple Staggered Hardeners with a Plate, Repairer, and a Heat Sink you were running an inferior tank.
The problems with the tanks of the past really though comes down to the idea of "well, they are expensive so they should be the best." Balancing in regards to ISK is not a great idea when it comes to an entire style of play. If someone has 10 million then losing a tank that runs at over 900k is going to really hurt them. If someone has a billion isk, they run things that the developers have basically designed to be overpowered because the price should be a limiting factor.
As much as I miss the mental fortitude that was keeping three different plates spinning while fighting, I don't feel too bad that the old tanks are gone overall.

nowadays expensive tanks are just a surefire way to make sure that the person destroying them gets a lot of ISK out of it.
