Title ^^^
Currently sitting on 1.7 million SP and debating on what to get. On one hand, I want to try out assault dropships, on the other, I miss using grenades like actual grenades instead of just chucking them at tanks before plasma cannoning them to death... and on that third hand growing out of my stomach, I kinda wanna try the officer plasma cannon... gah! Too many choices!
I want to punch.

Core locust can 1 hit light and non tanked mediums. They're iskpensive though.
I'm having the same debate myself. Nades 5, proto cal assault, or make a minja?

i can vouch for core nades.. i have died to them many a time on my std/advanced logi suits.. becasue 1. logi have **** ehp and 2. minmatar have lowest ehp.. so we get kicked in the nuts twice.. by some karate chick in pointed heels..

Maxed out Grenadier and Massdrivers. I now have a Min assault with core locus nades, core flaylock, and a freedom massdriver with a full line of complex modules across the board... kinda scared to use it. 200K a pop.

Core locus does 600 damage and 7.2 m blast radius
Its the scrubbiest of grenades for sure considering how much it rewards you for being that bad at renades, but if you are any good at tossing grenades M-8 packed does the same damage but at 3.2 m. Takes some skill, but if skill is not your thing core locus are the way to go.
Packed Lai Dais do astonishing damage though, and proto fluxes do 1800 dmg vs shields.
Don't go ADS unless you can get proto modules. 1.7 million is nowhere near enough to fly a surviveable ship. It took me more than that just to get my module fittings from all advanced to all proto.

I would, but I like throwing grenades, and thus an Ishukone Gauged Nanohive is required to continue to throw grenades.  I may swap it out on the speed fit, seeing as I can usually get to a supply depot...  Oh, the explosions~

Core locus grenades and Lai Dais. Yeah, it's worth it.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

I lubricate my Core Locus Grenades for maximum armor penetration. Yes, they-Śre worth it  .

I just took my Grenadier to Level 5 this past Saturday so that I could equip that Core Locus Grenade and I have no regrets. Throw a cooked Core Locus Grenade into a group of people and watch the magic. |

Personally, no. Unless you have nothing better to spend it on.
Flux grenades are infinitely more useful and you only really need standard. Cores are nice but cost a lot of fitting and can't KO decent suits (especially sentinels), not to mention clear equipment (REs) as well. M1s are about as far as I'd go with Locus grenades.

Also, and Im not positive on this but fairly certain, grenades do degenerative damage further from their epicenter (they do less damage the farther you are from the explosion), so you're not doing the full 600 damage over 7.2m (this is what made them OP in the pass and I believe has been changed for a while).
