Why are APEX suits found under the Visual Customization tab when they have nothing more to do with visual customization than any other Aurum or LP based suit?
One would have assumed the introduction of the visual customization tab was a hint towards Paint Bucket finally coming, but this seems little more than being led on by a horrible date.

Currently, we have just received the Visual Customization tab to the marketplace, brand-spanking new as of 1.9. Along with it, they decided to add APEX suits, which are arguably Prototype suits with different color schemes.
However, there is always the possibility down the road that they will add more suits for Aurum or even ISK. Maybe it will be paint schemes and a new slot will open up on all our dropsuits allowing us to have visual flare of our choosing to dropsuits.
I see our new Visual Customization tab as a step toward that. But for now, baby steps.
"Baby steps for now" Has been CCP's mantra regarding everything for 10 years. Those babysteps are more of a crawl. And not the army kind of crawl, where you actually get somewhere. The kind of crawl where you move a bit forward, then get dizzy and curl up into a fetal position as you start to bleed out.
So I'm going to be totally honest here. I don't believe this tab will be used for anything we haven't already seen. History has taught me not to believe in such fantasies.

So as I said, it's not visual customization. The tab name implies something entirely different.
Just, you know. Change the tab name. It isn't that big of a deal, but seeing that kind of lead-on is what makes bittervet's bitter. I need fewer reasons to be a jaded *******, not more.
Alternate styles skin BPO's might be a start. You could consider making a specific item in the dropsuit loadout that is effectively a paint BPO which overrides the default one. From there, you could just sell the skin for Aurum and people wouldn't be chained to using pre-fit shenanigans.
