Imperfects could actually back up their smack talk?

It is just a corp name... most of them actually felt pretty average. Although same could be said when I joined tp and felt like everyone was average on my level and 99% of the rest of the player base was just terribad. There were only very few players during my time on this game that really stood out to me.
Eh when they guys like Beld I knew to stay the **** away from his tank.

The talent range of the current playerbase simply does not compare to that of the era of chromosome and before in closed beta. Those real high end guys, (Fizzy and James comes to mind) rocked basic and advanced Caldari assaults with GEKs and less than 500 hp and they would put up kill counts and kdrs I struggle to hit with dual tanked stacked proto suits with Duvolles. And they did it without aim assist or tac net shenanigans. I might be considered an above average player now, hell, in this current pool I'd even put myself as well above average, but back when the bunnies and Imperfects were relevant, I couldn't even hold a flame to some of those guys in my wildest fantasies. Only thing I had going for me was being a good assault counter sniper, and anti-AV for slap.
Oh I won't deny that.
Pre Tankpocalypse 1.7 I was a significantly better Tanker than I am now...... I'm lazy now, my tanks cost all of maybe 700-800K ISK which isn't much, and I don't care when I lose em or how....... back pre 1.7 I did. I'd spend minutes analysing an enemy tank on foot to find out how it fought and then to guess what it was equipped with before calling in my own.
Then I would basically keep tabs on it either waiting for friendly AV to engage or for a chance to sneak up behind it and once that happened I'd simply go to town on it in my "Little Soma that Could".
Either that or ran the old Light Scout HAV to wreck anything that thought it was superior to a MLT tank with insane mobility and DPS.

Speak for yourselves noobs lol. When I first started, I only felt like I sucked for 2 weeks max then I started carrying my team. Facing james ment it wasn't going to be another snoozefest match. I looked forward to players like him but I never considered them as invincible as some people make them out to be.
I guess that is the difference between our skill levels.... I can actually fight back. :p
General please.
It's not hard to score highly on your team in public matches if you try, especially with how vehicles used to be before turrets got 10K EHP. You could easily score 4-5K WP a match and have 35-60 kills. That did not means I was a better tanker than I was before I simply had an OP tool that required little effort to use.
I was better back then because I cared enough to want to be.
Currently I don't. All I have to do is win FW matches and beat the Q-Sync on the other side of the map..... job done. No enjoyment, no context, and a lack of content means I don't have the motivation to want to be competitive.
