I am at level one nova knives and could not kill a heavy with a charge and a swipe, so so sad, it happened twice in one match, even with two complex side arm damage mod, I removed the mods and tried a charge instead of just swipes, I guess the nova knives is worth it, since lag of my internet makes shotgun useless. I will try the kincat too, but it will have to be militia

For starters I'd make a super cheap suit, stacked with Dampeners only. (mine is a Quafe minja with 2 basic damps, or 1 complex damp and a enhanced kincat, with a militia Combat Rifle and nova knives)
Also possible would be twin dampeners, basic cloak, and only knives, but that requires both high Electronics/Engineering and high Scout level.
If you're looking for a high end fit(after you've trained in the throwaway fit, hopefully) try an advanced suit with sidearm mods, and the best dampeners you can fit, or Precision/Range mods with enough damps to dodge the 28 DB scanner( i think that's just 1 complex damp)
Beyond that though, experiment a LOT with varying amounts of Kincats, damage mods, equipments, and EWAR mods.
Whats ewar? Its a very good weapon for taking out snipers, my shotgun keeps failing me so annoying, I even had to switch to breach shotgun. I am loving the nova knives but I specced into an Amarr scout so I am not fast, can only use Militia Kin cats.
Whats the best light weapon for a scout apart from the shotgun? I cant use guns without scopes my aiming is horrible. I cant use the RR not matter how hard I try

Thanks for all the replies. I am enjoying using a Bolt Pistol as an alternative to my shotgun and paired with a militia submachine gun and range amplifier. Very much fun

Yeah smg did not pack enough punch so I switched to Breach scrambler. I will try the flaylock. Thanks for all the tips but I want to have one racial suit for each role so
