Well i'd certainly hope Destiny has sharper graphics and better optimization they spent 500 MILLION DOLLARS to make that lack luster game.
The rest of your complaints are game balance and/or design opinions, which I agree with some and not others. Game feels pretty balanced outside of the LOLwreckage of ADS currently so I'm wary of any changes. Weapon wise, unless its ScR hip-fire dispersion or kick being increased or flaylock direct damage being increased, I don't agree with its change. The ARR is still fast for CQC rail rifle combat and the standard Rail Rifle isn't supposed to be good in CQC just like the TAR isn't supposed to be good in CQC, which is why I think the ScR shouldn't be good in CQC. |

I suppose if you prefer the more twitch shooter everyone's the badass style of game. I like dust pvp because there is some stretegy, teamwork, battle lines and large teams (compared to destiny). The different classes are basically the same in destiny, except for when you get a super every few minutes but that's about it. Ive never seen much tactics in DUST, just blob the city with heavies and uplinks and call it a day. Destiny pvp is satisfying and fast paced. It gives me the fps fix I need from time to time. Not to say I dont have my fair share of complaints with the game, but DUST is anything but an exceptional shooter.
I see that more an issue of players not knowing how to be tactical. That's one way good players beast in this game though, by abusing the meta. At least with Rattatai's fixes, the game has become less pigeon holed into having to run a FOTM, whether players realize this or not is their own business.
I'm sure in Destiny there is a standard easy way of play that a lot of players flock to like M16s with noob tubes in COD4 or like heavy hmgs/scout SGs are in this game. |

The game is just crisp and always intense, at least for pvp. I now have 0 SP in infantry, I have 0 interest in it here. I'll fly till the ISK disappears and then I'll wander off to something else
If you mean the buggy hit detection on light suits combined with knova knives by blade dancers, I agree and accidently left out the light suit buggy hit detection. That's one thing I'd love to see getting fixed and is the primary reason assault suits can get outclassed by light suits in slaying. In fact, i'd go as far as to say trying to fix the cloak is unnecessary if they just fixed hit detection on light suits. If players can't just sprint jump around in light suits and avoid 99% of gun fire then cloaks would become what they were meant to be, something used to OHKO stragglers and isolated players or sneak through enemy lines. Cloaks right now can still stealth hack so that's still working as a covert ability.
In my mind:
Scouts = Covert ops (Capping undefended/poorly defended supply depots, installations, CRUs, and objectives, aggressive sniping, and picking off stragglers.) Assault = Frontline grunts pushing the hornet's nest of objectives. Logistics = Support (Laying equipments, giving scan intel, repping and reviving) Commandos = Overwatch cover/elevation based point defense and/or AV assistance/defensive sniping. Heavies = CQC and AV point defense.
And for the most part that is how the roles work, except on scout assaults which are only effective because they often ignore damage while moving/sprinting. |
