So with 3 low and 2 high slots how have you guys fit this proto? I have been struggling to find a fit that fits the pg/cpu well as most of them go well over. I am still missing a few upgrade skills but I was wondering if anyone would be able to give advice on how to fit this thing :)

with this you have a nice shield buffer to fight sg scouts. and you can run around solo without a logi to rep you. since range is your weakness, a proto bolt pistol works wonders and will kill most medium frames outside the hmg range in one magazine
when engaging other heavies at range use it to weaken them and shred them apart with your hmg. learn to get headshots with the BP....it works wonders sometimes! happy hunting :3 |

This requires a particular playstyle, but I like this one :
2 energizers
1 shield extender
2 regulators (or 1 regulator and 1 kincat)
Burst HMG
Long range and high damage pistol (bolt pistol or scrambler pistol)
Flux grenade
As I said, it's different from what most sentinels do, instead of just sitting in front of the guys and shooting whatever you see, you get behind cover, get out, fire a few bursts (or even only one), hide to cool down and regen, get out and shoot etc.
The Caldari is better at doing this but as I overall prefer the speed of the Minmatar... |

Basically what these guys have said which equals a sort of scout or an assault suit with an HMG.
Should Legion be on the ps4?

If you're trying to follow lore keep the SMG but if not, use the bolt pistol. It's by far the nicest complement to the HMG because you can kill people at range. I would run speed/stamina in the lows and shield and a regen in the highs. Switch to a core locus grenade.
If you're not wearing proto, you're doing it wrong.

Yeah your goal in this suit is to flank not go head up with other heavies. You can make a fit with armor so when you have a logi running with you but for solo play use more speed and stamina or speed and complex dampener if you have the skills. The dampener will allow you to flank more, scouts will still see you as well as other mediums with precision mods but no one really runs them.
And if you're sticking to lore use the Core Locus grenade, it's Min tech. If you're running a flux just be cheap and run the std. Proto seems like a big waste of money for just a wider blast area. Grenades need an overhaul IMO.
If you're not wearing proto, you're doing it wrong.
