Now I may be a minority in this opinion, but I believe one should conduct oneself with a modicum of decorum at all times.
This is the locker room so I figured I'd ***** about a douchbag teammate here.
First off he was clearly not in a squad and trying to give orders to people with no designations at all, which is...understandable, I will try to cry out warnings when playing solo some times as well, but what really got me was when he began to disparage his own team, calling them morons and just generally having a ****** attitude because we were losing, not badly either.
I told him to get off his cross and he said "this has nothing to do with crosses everyone is just being stupid" it went on and on and he was just a dickhole in general.
So as to give this post a point I will pose this question to the community at large: is it OK to disrespect your teammates?
I clearly don't think so because its a team game and we sink and swim together, and disrespect gets us nowhere regardless of our frustrations...I suppose I'm being a bit idealistic plenty of people are nothing but pits of bile who blame others and get fed up with them when the specter of defeat looms, but does that make it OK to become one yourself?
I don't think so, and as such I will continue to hold myself to a higher standard...or at least try to.
Ahh.,.question/manifesto thing done...I hope others can take the idea and try to apply it as we can all stand to be more mindful of ourselves. I hope no one misinterprets this as me trying to be holyer than thou or anything because it isn't, and I hope that sincerity shows.
I also hope trolls and flamers don't come and draw ********* allover it...metaphorically speaking...though I suppose with that sentence I am technically asking for it on the internet...ah well let's see what happens...will my faith in our community be affirmed, or will I have to hold it together with sheer will power? |
