The idea that scouts might actually need to learn to scout without a cloak, or use a combination of scanning and their eyes. How dare CCP put disadvantages on a piece of equipment. Quote:No, please give back scouts the thing that makes them scout. Ever since passive cloak scan nerf Scout vs Scout isn't fun. I liked it before where the man that brought the goodies (precision enhancers-dampener war) won. Now it is by chance we run into scouts, for the most part they are almost impossible to hunt down. Don't you mean the Gallente scout who brought the dampeners and shotgun? Edit: The saddest part of this is the idea that you think the cloak makes the scout and not the playstyle or the skills of the player behind the suit. Now go home and think about what you've said, and perhaps if you're good, you can come out of the corner in a week. Do you remember back when there was no cloak and nobody ran scouts? Did you ever ask yourself why? Because 300-400 hp scout suits were dead as soon as spotted. This is very true today, if scouts ran without cloak you would see a lot of them dead except for those wussies that run like cowards from any sign of danger and are on bottom of leader board Only the bad ones. I was in FA in 1.7, which was the build right before the Caldari Master Race. Long Story Short, scouts were used in PC. You typically had 1-2 per team, and their job was simple: Remove Uplinks, Kill anything that had its back to you. And it WORKED. You ran damps and speed and just ran around doing this job. TTW would post great K/Ds, and so would myself, B0R0M1R and Knight Soiare (And others, just listing the ones I remember that were active in the ERA war.) Cloaks just require you to play a LOT more conservatively, and to run from anything that sees you. Engaging from behind was standard procedure, and you HAD to stealth and speed tank. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did we had 360* passive scan back then or just 60*, because it is giant difference. Before cloak introduction and scout balance I had no problems with 'lurking in the shadows', and in good locations with tide corridors I was able to kill entire squads of players..

Speed was pretty much all you had and it really didn't help much. They didn't have as many slots as they do now. EWAR was no where near as strong. They had a lower precision but the range of an assault. Two equipment slots now, small hit box and quick regen shields. The suits are OP without a cloak. I run a scout with no cloak and regularly go 20-3 or similar in pub matches. It's so OP I don't even like running it until I get shotgunned a few times, I stick to my Assault because I like a challenge.
Gk.0 have basic 80 shields and two high slots, with usually are used for precision when you run without cloak... so, thank you for your feedback, next time try to be more specific, because you referring to specific racial suit - caldari - and put opinion about scouts as whole with is harmful.
