If you are hacking a supply depot or CRU or whatever, you should be able to circle around it and still hack, to avoid those annoying heavies who just swapped their 5% armor suit for a fresh 100% armor/shield suit.
It looks like you are hacking using a wireless connection hack, so it shouldnt matter whether you stand in one spot or walk around the thing as long as you stay within range of the object being hacked |

I hack like that all the time. You just have to be facing the thing you're hacking. I use my pointer to hold down the button so that I can use my thumbs for walking.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

It needs a wider tollerance of directional facing than it currently has |

If you're in a scout suit you can avoid heavies by keeping the CRU/SD between you and them while you hack it.
That moment when you mow down a proto Caldari assault suit with a militia laser rifle.
Words can't describe it.

Since this is titled "Fix hacking" I'll post this here. Several times today, I've been "un-hacking" something, only to be 99.9999% finished unhacking, but still have it completed. I mean hell, once I even got the +80 points, and it still went to the other team. Could it slow down the closer you are to completing the hack? For example: You just hit 50%, the enemies hack is now progressing 10% slower. (25%-5% | 50%-10% | 75%-15%). |

What I've Understood: Make hacking continue even when not "looking" at the installation.
Make counter-hacking slow down the initial "upload"
Feedback: In my opinion, I think the whole "hacker hop" we do should be eliminated. We need to be sitting ducks when hacking. The dance around the installation devalues the actual difficulty of hacking. If movement cannot be removed, can we add movement bonuses / penalties to hacking? Shuffling slows a hack, while taking a knee and concentrating on cracking a terminal speeds it up.
In another issue, counter-hacking should be redone. Instead of racing against a fixed time, a counter hack should be "removing the contested state."
Counter-Hack Example: -Virus Upload is 50% complete. -Ally begins counter-hack (Time to complete counter-hack is only 50% of the "Total Upload" time). -Ally is neutralized, leaving the virus upload at 25% (Virus Upload continues from 25%). -Another ally begins counter-hack, with Code Breaker Modules (Virus Upload is at 75% by the time the counter-hack starts). -Ally completes the counter-hack much faster due to better skills.

Personal Request: I think that the on-screen hacking animation should occupy more of the screen. The forearm interface should be brought closer to occupy the screen. When a hack is in progress, the HUD should change to lines of random codes / scripts flashing across the screen while the loading circle fills up.
