ok so first, Cal sentinels are easy to kill, because you just need to either A) Flux then shoot B) controlled fire until dead or switch to sidearm for kill C) Sidearm to weaken, HMG for kill
secondly, I kill whole squads with a militia HMG on my Minmatar Sentinel without overheating and in 1 clip

Oh I'm smart about it, so you don't get away, I don't throw it usually. I get as close as possible than cook it off.

People, Leave the HMG alone. It is meant to be a close/CQC killing machine. We have the fitting reduction to be a deterrent against Heavies who use Light weapons. So unless you want the army of Sentinels running RRs again, stop messing with the HMG.

LoL I'm proto Amarr Sentinel. Fitting bonus? WTF do I need that for? I can fit all proto weapons and modules without sacrificing anything that doesn't seem legit. Let's be real here, I can fire my HMG for way too long before it even gets close to overheating. The standard variant needs to act like the militia variant and the rest brought down a notch. This to me sound way better than them nerfing the HMG's damage.
They did increase heat with delta, then decreased it again slightly right after delta due to overheating to quickly. I'm proto Minmatar and I don't have overheating problems either, but thats because I know how to use my HMGs and have enough practice. And yes we could use with changes, but maybe not to heating. They mess with heat and damage, but never work with firing rate of HMGs other than for the burst. maybe they should adjust firing rate for a change.
