i've used the bar since I started playing. I dont notice it behaving any different than it did. Other things to consider. I used to use standard bar, now that I dont care about isk, I've been using the higher tier variants. You can stack damage mods. Your suit might be more easily damaged by the type of rounds. Suits have strengths and weaknesses and the weapons have them as well.
SCR against a shield tanker will win. CR against an armor tanker will win. Funny to watch heavy run when bar comes out cause it chews through it so well. Everything has its counter and preferred way to kill/die.
Use intel and if you see shield tanked heavy, think about it for a min before you tickle his shields w a CR. Or flux n finish. SCR feels op to me, but thats cause my characters more vulnerable to the shield killin weapon. SCR struggles w armor tankers. Each suit and weapon has its pros and cons. Use intel and pick your battles wisely |

Great point about Heavies and the BAR. A lot of nerf-calling come from Heavies and Vehicles. People who don't like dying notice a lot quicker when they start dying more!
Hey I don't like it when my minja get one shotted by a scr, but thats just because it was the right tool for the job, not because it needs a nerf. People just need to man up for their deaths. The so called unbalance in this game makes for variety. There is no one right suit or one right weapon. It forces you to have a well rounded squad/team/ or different fit to respawn into. |

Like I said, I dont feel its changed. Just more people using it because it does chew through heavies well. I will agree on the range, but feel its always felt like that. They could dial it back a bit. If you think of "breach", breaching through a doorway clearing out a room w a high damage short range weapon, that is what the BAR should be like. Dial back the range and i think it would fill its role like it should. |
