I don't know where to put this, but I'll put it here. I want the devs working on new content (Like my golden LAV!) but they must work with balancing first so I thought I would try to make a thread for ways to balance the weapons/REs Please note: Shotguns insta blapping you from 4m away is not a problem, instablaps from 20m however.... Shotguns: Reduce range to say 10m. REs: We throw these why? Why not just make us walk right up to the spot and place it? (It would take about say 0.7s to place one on a wall) Scouts:Make the hitbox just a bit larger... HMG: The user is 50% slower while operating this weapon Anything I'm forgetting?

REs have to be able to be thrown or they can not be hidden and placed on vehicles. I don't know what the planned changes for ewar will be, but we should wait and see before we propose changes to break them. On an up note for many the kick has been reduced on RR aim and I must say it feels pretty pretty good. Also it was that way 2 days ago and for the reason stated made them useless apart from doing exactly what you want to stop lol.

but now we have the fantastic new ARR as well
using it right now, it might take the TAR's place as my new baby.

The problem with HMG's is NOT the speed of the user. Its the range of the weapon. Getting killed by HMG (not ASSAULT HMG, just regular ones) at 45 mts ? NOT COOL CCP.
Shotguns are...decently ok. If you get hit at 15mts+ they will never 1HKO unless you are like a 200EHP scout and get unluckily hit by many pellets.
Scout hit-boxes are not bad, just the cal scout with its broken hit-box
R/E- i dont really get owned by them so i dont care.
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

They are used for attack far too much...

I can't confirm, but I'm fairly certain that the c/1-series is the only one with a fugged up hit box. I came to this conclusion because I die much easier in my ck.0 than my c/1-series and they're basically the same fit. Also I can never hit people wearing c/1-series.
