It's a demanding suit to use, no question. I could probably do much better in a gallente scout or whatever, but I'm stubborn like that.
I have a bunch of different fits for different situations, obviously, but my standard use FW suit is actually a pretty typical scan/rep/needle. Why no link? Because you don't need to deploy the link from the suit, you only need to be in the suit, to get the bonus. So I have an uplink suit, and when I die, respawn (slowly... Grrr) in a general use logI suit which I spend most of my time in. So, I pulled the link and put in a scanner instead.
Edit: MD is definitely a good call on this suit, take advantage of the sidearm!

Are you saying that if I lay down uplinks with different suit, then switch to Amarr logi the bonus applies to my squad/team??Speaking, of course about my uplinks. Surely that cannot be. Or can it?
Correct. There's a quick breakdown of how it works here. Or at least how it is supposed to work. It's well known to be a bit buggy, but yes, if you are IN an Amarr logi suit, all of your uplinks get the bonus, regardless of what suit you were in when you dropped them.
By the same token, if you drop them in an Amarr logi suit but then switch to another suit, you lose the bonus. This prevents "drop and swap" abuse of the bonus. You can't just spam 10 links from an Amarr logi suit and then spend the rest of the battle in your scout suit of choice while enjoying the logi bonus.

TRULY ELITE wrote:If your gonna get it proto just because you can run scout, place links, change to Amarr logi and give 3 sec max spawn times, don't bother, Rattati has proposed to the equipment bandwidth changes which will make this tactic obsolete, yes you can switch to your Amarr logi after scout and still get the bonus however the scout will only be able to place 1//2/3 links in the STD/ADV/PRO progression.
That's hardly the spam mechanic we are trying to get rid of with the bandwith proposal, in that scenario you would be switching to a suit with a higher bandwidth so it wouldn't hurt you. Its the other way around, spamming links from a min or gal logi and then switching to a scout or sentinel after you've crapped them all out half-assed everywhere on the map.
