I'm getting tired of playing as a scout and thinking about trying out a different suit. Now the question is, if I don't take my scout to proto, what suit should I skill into?
Taking out tanks and heavys, with a set of knives. <3

Unless you just love the sweet, wintery embrace of death itself: scout or HMG sentinel.
Current FotM seems to be Amarr or Gallente sentinels. Gallente and Caldari scouts remain very popular.

Well, shoot. I don't want to skill into a different scout suit and I'm defiantly not going to be a sentinel  I guess I'll just go through the assault suits and see which one catches my eye.

Amarr and Minmatar assaults have decent bonuses. The Amarr can fit a reasonably durable tank, the Minmatar can strafe dodge a la scouts. The ScR on the Amarr assault is nice, but with a 20% penalty to armor it lacks stopping power.
ACR + Minmatar assault is what I suggest if you are absolutely dead set against sentinels.

Is the LR on the Amarr worth skilling into? I'm thinking minmatar since I'm used to running and gunning/flanking, but then Again.. Maybe I'm just tired of being squishy

I personally don't run LR on any of my fittings. It's a nice long range "harasser" weapon and sweet Lord does it **** up Caldari sentinels.

Amarr Assault, or Cal Assault.
If you want a replacement that's not a scout but gives a scout feeling, Min Assault.
The rail rifle complaints show how self entitled/ tactically numb players can be here.

Current FoTM dictates armor tanked assault with Wyris and a breach AR...or a rep tanked shield assault with a breach AR.
OR you could just go with the FoTY, HMG heavy.
"Minja" and "Masochist" are synonyms.

My CalSalt does ok. Bonuses don't do much, but it has an ok setup for a brick with heavy shield extending and a single reactive plate. Then I slap a burst AR or a Exile and go rocking for cheap.
Usually go around 1 KD. Works well enough.
